No spoilers but this movie is incredible! It takes place during the series and is almost like watching a regular episode..just longer (it IS a movie lol). It's a movie that Trigun fans will love!

Went to the Tokyo International Anime Fair yesterday and got my photo taken with 'Vash' outside the Trigun: Badlands Rumble stall XD

Need to finish watching the series though.. I am so slow ^^;
My boyfriend loves this so much and he recently bought the boxset :P

So is this gonna be like the Bebop movie, taking place during the middle of the series, or does it retcon everything to shit? Enlighten me!

Also pleased to see this, hopefully some quality to close off this shitty decade.

From what the producer and official website released so far; the story is set in Makka, a town surrounded by quicksand. With rumors spreading that the legendary robber Gasback has his sights set on the town, the mayor Kepler has brought together bounty hunters to protect the town. These bounty hunters have been following Gasback from town to town in hopes of bagging the prize. Meryl and Milly have come to town to assess the situation as insurance agents, but are shocked by this turn of events. Moreover, Vash the Stampede is also in town, along with the female bounty hunter Ameria and Nicholas D. Wolfwood.

IMO the TV series was gay and gimmicky, and reminded me too much of Cowboy Bebop. But I'll probably watch the movie, because from what I remember the manga was good fun.

the hell is wrong with you...!? Trigun is one of the best animes ever.

I don't want to get into an argument, but it really, really reminded me of Bebop. It just seemed to me like it was a cookie-cutter anime. But that's all I'm going to say, it was a poor idea for me to go criticizing Trigun in a Trigun the Movie thread. #o.O

I have been waiting for this for quite some time. At least I have a rough ETA now.

I can't wait to see how the animation for this looks.
Madhouse is doing it, just like the original series. So I'm pretty excited to see how it turns out.
