Cygames launched an official website on Friday to reveal that Bungo Yamashita's school comedy manga Murenase! Seton Gakuen will be getting a TV anime adaptation. A key visual and a promotional video were also unveiled.
Seton Academy is a school full of animals where humans are in the minority thanks to population decline. Mazama Jin, an animal hater and the only human male in his class, falls in love with Hino Hitomi, the only female human, the moment he lays eyes on her. However, he soon finds himself entangled with various other creatures after he reluctantly joins the "pack" of Lanka the wolf. (Source: MU, edited)
The anime adaptation is a collaboration with many zoos and menageries, including Kyuushuu Nature Animal Park African Safari, Gunma Safari Park, Chiba City Animal Park, Tennoji Zoo, Toubu Animal Park, Nagoya City Higashiyama Zoo, Cat Café Kyariko, and Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise. Kenjirou Tsuda (3-gatsu no Lion, Africa no Salaryman) will cast as the male animals that will appear in each episode.
Yamashita launched the manga on Cygames' Cycomics website in May 2016. Kodansha has been printing the manga in physical volumes since July 2017 and released the sixth compiled volume in November 2018.
