'Watashi ga Motete Dousunda' Author Begins New Serialization
Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend shoujo magazine revealed on its website that manga author Junko will draw a new series tentatively titled Oshi ga Watashi de Watashi ga Oshi de. The first chapter will launch in Bessatsu Friend's July issue on June 13.
The story will revolve around idol fanatic Azusa Asahina, who is a cute girl with good grades. Her life takes a turn when she attends her favourite idol's concert, Chikashi Chida.
Junko's previous work Watashi ga Motete Dousunda (Kiss Him, Not Me) debuted in Bessatsu Friend in April 2013. The manga ended in February 2018, and the 14th and final volume was released on March 13 of last year. Brain's Base adapted the manga into a 12-episode TV anime that broadcast in Fall 2016.
Crunchyroll simulcast the show as it aired, and Kodansha Comics published the manga in its entirety in English, shipping the last volume in July 2018.

Oh gosh. I really hope this is better than Watashi ga Motete Dousunda cause I thought that was, frankly, a hot mess with rather shallow characters.
The art is your typical shoujo manga art, could be a little better, definitely suits the style of the topic though. Wish the mangaka would create something that isn't based upon an obsession, but I guess that would just make them any basic shoujo manga writer, huh? (笑)

it literally says it in the source though?
High school student Asahina Azusa has an ellegant physical appearance and has excellent grades.
she was a perfect girl. however, deep inside, she is a passionate idol otaku. she goes to a live performance of her favorite idol Chida Chikashi when she becomes involved in an incident and her everyday life changes completely.

Shame that there's no mention of the girl being an idol otaku

the tentative title can be translated as "my favorite idol is me, and i am my favorite idol"
note that this is a tentative title, and the author may later change it.
推しメンis short for 押しメンバー that is, the member of an idol group you like the most.
judging from the illustration and title, this appears to be a body swap series, not unlike 兄が妹で妹が兄で(the older brother is the younger sis, and the younger sis is the older brother), where the character changes body, causing awkwardness.

The 'oshi' in the title is in the idol slang meaning (one's favorite member from a group). My japanese is basic so I can't translate it, but it's probably something like "I'm my favorite's favorite".

Exactly my thoughts. Not to mention the atrocious art style.
