How Maou-sama never got a second season?

First one sold decently, with this much materials, this could be Zero no Tsukaima/DxD level of franchise (4+ seasons).

The term light novel has nothing to do with physical size and never has done. Oh, and the average light novel volume length is right at the very top of the range you gave. I also think (if I remember right) that Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon actually averages around 600 pages but don't own the series so couldn't confirm.

Average for KyouHora is around 850p. :3
The previous series (Owari no chronicle ) was smaller yes, but this one has exactly one volume below 600 pages (the first volume) and the average keeps getting slightly higher as more volumes get out lately.

Wasnt Index have much more volume though?
Index separated to 2 which is OT and NT .

But the real shit is when Horizon actually had tons of pages like 500 to even thousand (i ithink someone mentioned it above).
Its almost impossible to adapt it right now unless you throw millions of bucks there for 100+ episodes.

Index (counting both series and SS and the like) has more volume yes, we're above 40 by now, but like you pointed out Index has far less pages of text as a whole due to each volume of Kyouhora having 2 to 3 times more pages than Index volumes, so it depends what you count, I guess.

Pages win be default.

Man the Author mustve been very dedicated for the work.

Mainly stuff like this ignored by Cheap LN without quality that pretty much follow trends.. Well they're not wrong though.

Catching up tons of volume or reading thousand of pages is a pain.

I doubt I could even finish reading Horizon 28 volume within 6 months.Yet alone lesser than that.

Not just that, but from what I know, these volumes are incredibly lengthy. Most of the volumes are 800-1000 pages, rather than the average 200-300 page length.

Light novels indeed :P

Oh yeah, I know that light novel aren't indicated through size. I just find it funny if someone were to pick up one of these 1000-pages volumes and call them out as a "light novel".

If the info here is correct, then the average for the first 25 volumes is around 850 pages. And 7 of them hit the 1000 page mark.

Accel World, Hataraku Maousama and Horizon anime produced a lot of money so I don't get why they decided not to produce more anime of them

Yep, sounds about right, I would say (for Japanese LN-volumes ofcourse). Have 3 series as 'examples' at hand right now; both 'Konosuba' and 'Goblin Slayer' average at about 290 pages, 'Overlord' at around 435 (highest length 574, lowest 377). Though ofcourse it is highly dependable on series, author, booksize etc. etc..

But if we look at the Official-translations (English ones for example) then they are, naturally, significantly lower in length - how much again depending on much the same things as above. With those 3 series here, the page count can go down as much as ~130 pages (per each volume - some more, some less).

Additonally, just tried to look up the length of the 'Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon' volumes on Amazon.jp, and I would say that the average should be more around 750-800 pages - with my non-existant Japanese skills that is, so don't take my word for it.
