The band flumpool has announced via their official website on Wednesday that the band will enter an indefinite hiatus. The vocalist Ryuta Yamamura mentioned that his throat didn't feel well during flumpool's 8th 2017 tour "Re:image" on December 3, and later learned that he has been diagnosed with functional dysphonia in his vocal chord. The band has decided to cancel upcoming concerts as well as enter a hiatus so Yamamura can rest.

flumpool is a band from Osaka that had their debut in 2007. They performed Captain Earth's opening theme song, in the Ajin series, and the currently airing Infini-T Force's opening theme song, which will also be used as the theme song for the upcoming movie. The band's song "Kizunakizu" has also been used as one of Minna no Uta's songs.

Everyone into Japanese songs must listen to this song at least once in their lifetime. I hope you can become a flower! :)

Get well soon, Yamamura Ryuta-san! I love your voice.

Yamamura-san rest well! Saddening news, but I wish him the best of luck.

Oh no :( flumpool is one of my favorite Japanese bands, Ryuta's voice is so nice to listen to. Been a fan ever since Hana ni Nare, and was happy to hear them in anime OPs starting from Captain Earth. Not a big surprise though I guess, I recall Ike from Spyair had vocal problems as well, although it was different. I hope for his recovery ><

Functional Dysphonia...That doesn't sound good. "To Be Continued..." sounds so relaxing to listen to. I hope he gets well soon...

Aww :c they did a pretty good job with Ajin's OP, but I do hope that the vocalist can get better soon though.
