Eh, the hype's kind of dead for me. I mean, I'll watch it when it comes out, but with the quality so all over the place I'm not in any hurry.

The way the last movie was executed, I can't say I'm even slightly looking forward for this. I'm just hoping Kyousei won't be as bad as Soushitsu.

I'm still peeved we don't have a set date, so I'm thinking something's up, like they fell behind schedule or something. Typical Toei, I must say. It's a beautiful poster, though.
@Katsu-kun I don't blame you for deciding to pass on this. Maybe it's better to wait until all the movies are out so it can be marathoned since it seems like the waiting time between movies is hurting it just as much as the writing itself, but I don't think you're really missing much. The third movie was kind of worth it for the climax alone, but that's thus far the most note-worthy thing to come out of it.

@Katsu-kun First, I'm not sure if we can call the way it was structured good. (if the structure was even fully planned before they screened the first part)
If you are a digimon adventure "fan" and are up to date (Adventure/Bokura no War Game/Adventure02), you will probably have a good time with a few moments of slight anger. Or in the worst case, you'll be bored (because it IS long).
If you are a digimon adventure fanatic, it will be very hard for you to be pleased with what you see, between lacks of "essential elements of the series" (it's not from me) like regular battles and the formulaic special attack and evolution scenes (I don't know how this is lacking them, since this was only a way to win a few minutes on TV and it is still largely employed here).
There are also a nice amount of inconsistencies and probable inconsistencies (maybe cleared in the next parts), plus the movies contradict its own intentions in a few occasions.

So, how good and watchable were previous 4 movies?
Is it worth it?
