An anime can't be more anticipated :)
Although how can this be a prequel? Stating from the preview, this was what happened in the first few chapters....

Is the manga that famous in Japan?
It is one of the regularly top ranked manga according to Kono Manga ga Sugoi! so yes, I would say it's pretty famous in Japan.

The question is is this going to be an experiment to see are people interested in making an anime or is this just an advertisement for the manga? If it's the first then how are they going to sell enought copies? Is the manga that famous in Japan?

No way. I'm sure that's his sexy voice 0:25
His name is even there with cast from credits.
OK, I stand corrected. For some reason I thought that you're talking about Elias' voice.

The animation looked absolutely stunning with the use of vivid surroundings, albeit the manga drawing always made me think the world would be a bit murky since the setting is in the UK. Regardless, I cannot express how happy I am to see Chise and Elias animated. I approve the character designs already!
I just hope more people read the manga. It's a real treat for someone who knows how to enjoy witty dialogues and eager to explore an unknown world of magic and sorcery.

I'm going to assume that this will follow Chise before she meets Elias and struggling with her sight.

That PV is nothing of a prequel. That's pretty much the manga lol. Is that really meant to promote the incoming OVA or the manga? Hahaha.
The PV is made to promote the manga & build hype for the prequel and the series as a whole, hence the name "Grand PV".
Is it? But that is way too misleading if people new to this title think that PV is what the OVA all about.

Why are people complaining that wit studio is animating this???
Maybe because Owari no Seraph "poorly" animated. Some people still bitching that.
I thought WIT Studio was a good choice, they're have a good background art. (ex : Hoozuki no Reitetsu, Rolling Girls)
They're still part of I.G. Port too. Which we can expect a "High Budget" for this. Production I.G. can involved like SnK S1 to help the animation.
But wit doesn't do their Backgrounds, it is mostly another studio doing it for there show both Hoozuki no Reitetsu and Rolling Girls were done by Studio Bamboo and Owari no seraph was done by Studio Pablo

Or maybe they want to build interest before launching into a full (multi-season dammit!) series, or even a movie 0.0
Crazy? Probably. Obsessed? Definitely ♥
