Sunrise Announces New Original Anime 'Mirai Arise'

It was announced during AnimeJapan 2015 that Sunrise is working on an original anime project titled Mirai Arise. The promotional poster (right) suggests that the anime is scheduled for 2016. A teaser video was also shown at the Sunrise booth (left).

Sunrise currently has the last two Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito movies and the Love Live! The School Idol Movie lined up for 2015. The new Gintama TV series and OVA are also set to premiere in April.

It looks good, I guess. And the fact that it's announced as early as now just implies that it must be a big project for Sunrise

Getting some Bebop vibes from the Poster and some KLK vibes from the preview.

Will look out for this as I enjoy what Sunrise puts out most of the time.

Sunrises refusal to play it safe and go with previously established hot licenses and take risks even with Gundam continues to make them one of the more interesting studios to me even to this day. Like what other major studio comes out with something that basically screams DoA in Japan. Its like they truly don't care what the late night otaku market thinks of them

the poster reminded me trigun too, the music, dunno..

from the characters seen so far in the little trailer it seems a shounen, but i'm hoping for something more mature or seinen
