DVD Extra Anime of Spice and Wolf II and Sora no Manimani

The Blu-ray edition of Spice and Wolf II volume 1 includes an extra short anime of Holo. It will be released on October 7th.

The DVD volume 1 of Sora no Manimani includes an extra short anime. It will be released on September 2nd.

The audio commentary of Bakemonogatari DVD/Blu-ray volume 1 is called "character commentary". The script of the commentary is written by Nishio Ishin and Saito Chiwa and Horie Yui talk about the episodes as they play their characters. The volume 1 will be released on September 30th.

The Blu-ray edition of "Taishou Yakyuu Musume." volume 1 includes a picture drama "Taishou Omake Musume." It will be released on October 7th.

DVD of Princess Lover! is released in three editions: normal, collector's and celebrity editions. The collector's editions include picture drama DVD and the celebrity edition include "bathroom" posters and "bath time" CD of the characters.

It's for people to buy the dvds for the extra.

Is it 'cool' to include a DVD special with every anime that comes out nowadays or something?
The worst thing about all of this is that each one will get their own entry on MAL, which is incredibly pointless, especially if the DVD special is just a continuation of the main story, or an episode '6.5' or similar.
