lets just get this straight.

Over the 2 seasons of this anime they have covered 7 volumes of the manga.

7/14 volumes, thats exactly half.... meaning there is a chance for not only the third season, but a 4th and FINAL season.

this would be awesome seeing as the anime is popular. if we got a season this year and final season with a true manga ending in winter 2015.......

this is just for all those who are saying that there isnt enough material left......... There is 7 volumes left un adapted...... think about it.... Working!! Seasons 3 and 4 please

Isn't it better to finish something rather than leaving it halfway through tho? if it was me i would be happy that something is finishing because i can finish what i started some years ago...but then again it's not me.It looks like they don't care about any of those things and just want big profit.Sigh.

Yeah, it's mostly money-related. Most of the time anime are just made in order to advertise their respective manga or light novel, and, well there's really no point in making an anime for something that has already concluded. So yep, it's reasons like those that Spice and Wolf S3 will never happen.

Umm no. That's not true.

Complete manga don't get a final season, because there would no point in one, from an advertising and commercial point of view. An adaption is most profitable, when it's airing along side the manga/LN.

Of course there is exceptions to this, most recently in Ping Pong.

Even completed manga could still sell if it has an anime adaptation. Don't be too quick in writing that off. They might make a last anime season to bring closure to the franchise as a whole, wouldn't be the first time they did that.

It's pretty rare though. I can only list few anime that did that.

That's a shame, I never followed the manga but season 1 and 2 of the anime were pretty good.

Aw i see.I expected some more complicated problem there lol, but if that's the only case then ugh, i lost hope as well. They might make some movie or OVAs tho, right?...hopefully.

I thought it was because anime are made (a lot of the time) to advertise other mediums of the series. Like the anime normally increases the manga or LN sales, and sometimes spawns new adaptations and toys and stuff. If the source material ends there isn't anything to concurrently sell?
Hm, but let's say anime sells well (as Sir_Lexa said, in this case Working sold not that bad) and they make profit out of it, why not make another season (or some OVAs or movie) to get some profit + make fans happy? or is it that they don't care about fans? it might be that im too naive tho, and its everything about big money-money-money as you say.

Is this really the case? According to BakaUpdates, 7 of 12 volumes have been adapted, which means that there should be enough material for a new season. That is, unless they have the wrong information.

I thought the issue was more along the lines that adaptations are more rare for manga and light novels that have already ended.
