Two 'Shingeki no Kyojin' Recap Movies Announced for 2014-2015

The official site for Shingeki no Kyojin announced that two animated movies will be released. The first movie is titled Shingeki no Kyojin: Zenpen Guren no Yumiya and will premiere winter 2014, while the second movie, titled Shingeki no Kyojin: Kouhen Jiyuu no Tsubasa, will premiere sometime in 2015.

The two movies will use footage from the TV anime series while providing new dubbing and remastered sound. The first movie will recap episodes 1-13, while the second movie will recap episodes 14-25. The main cast, director, composer, and studio from the TV anime series will all remain the same.

Not looking forward for this, but I am sure thst they just want to make money and to refresh our memories. They surely will announce the second season after the movies.

Reasons to watch this:

>Refresh our memory of the anime in a more accessible 2 movie format
>Probably gonna fix the supposed 'pacing issues' for the pedantic people.
Real stuff:
>Probably will use the Blu-ray animations which are huge improvements over the TV release.
>Remastered sounds and dubbing!
>Possible announcement of season 2 at the end of the second movie.

If you haven't already watched SnK, I'd recommend to watch this movie, shows off all the good parts of the series without the flaws of the anime.

Well, I was very dissapointed about this film, but today I found at this website that the 2nd season will come next year, and just as most of us thought the reason for the late is because there wasn't content enough to make a 2nd season. I'm still waiting for the official annouccement because this information was given by a producer and manager from Selecta Visión (a spanish company) which has the license of the series.

I really like the titles, taken from the OPs: "Crimson Bow and Arrow", and "Wings of Freedom". Fine summaries of their respective portions of the series.

What's the point of this? Like anyone who was even vaguely interested in SNK will have waited until winter 2014/sometime in 2015 to see it. With no new animation who cares.

I just caught up to the SnK manga a few days ago, and i'm so impatient to see the next season! However, they don't have enough to do a full season id say. 95% sure after the second movie they will give a release date for the airing of season 2. probably fall 2015.

Oh wait. They're not even animating it from scratch. They're just reusing scenes.

The movies aren't even worth watching at this point and they just got announced.

If they don't at least use BD footage for the movies then the viewers are getting so conned.

Maybe they're not just going to reuse the footage from the the episodes but rather the producers will make it so the script of the movie happens within the time frame of the given episodes. It would be a waste of money if they just got the frames from each episode, right? So there must be something new to it like how some of the BLEACH movies happened during certain arcs.
