Netcomics announced Friday that they were releasing five yaoi titles (online and in print) in 2009. Netcomics primarily publishes online manga and manwha, and later usually only publishes some titles in print, depending on online demand. These titles will be available for online reading several months ahead of being published in print form, but are already slated for street dates. In addition, these manga are relatively recent releases in Japan; and all (with the possible exception of the Est Em work) were originally published in Japan by Tokyo Mangasha.

The titles are:

Dining Bar Akira (Kuimonodokoro Akira) by Tomoko Yamashita (8/09; 2007 in Japan).

Age Called Blue by Est Em (8/09)

Black-winged Love (Koi no Kokoro ni Kuroi Hane) by Tomoko Yamashita (10/09; 2008 in Japan).

Love Full of Scars (Kizudakare no Airabuyuu) by Delico Psyche (10/09; 2008 in Japan).

Merry Family Plan (Akarui Kazoku Keikaku) by Sumitomo Morozumi (debut work) (10/09; 2007 in Japan). (Note: Not to be confused with several other works with the same title by different authors.)

Traps aren't that common in BL. Effeminate guys are far too common, but actual traps, no. None in these.
:(

I'll admit that this sounds like a good untapped market.. I'd be up for some. :)

Seriously, do any of them have traps? I don't feel comfortable reading shit about gay people unless at least one of them looks like a girl.
i've read this short one where one of the guys is a trap who works as a maid in a maid cafe. i'm sorry i don't remember the name, though. :(

If anyone is interested, all the manga are now in the MAL database.

I think there are some print Est Em manga put out by Deux.

I hear good things about Est Em, so I'll prolly take a look at Age Called Blue.

Right now Netcomics seems to be charging $.50 a chapter, but I'm not sure how long their "chapters" are.

I think it's a bit strange that Netcomics is delaying (maybe it's really cancelling) the print publication of further volumes of most of their series, but they are saying that these new titles will definitely see print. Most of the delayed titles are manwha. Like many other websites these days, there isn't much new info on licenses and future releases. Frustrating.
