Just one month left to watch whole HnI... I'll try, from what I heard, anime is even better than already awesome manga.
As I checked out the new seasons characters I couldn't seem to find Kumi there at all?

Ha, I almost agree with that, the seiyuu is terrible, really. But Kumi has to be in it, due to what happens with Sawamura before his fight with Ippo. Otherwise tbh, she's almost not even necessary. I mean, 1031 chapters and they're still at the same stage? Come on now, why is this "relationship" even there? It's not amusing anymore.

This year's greatest news.. i even punch my book when reading this xD
"The new anime season will pick-up after the end of Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger, after Mamoru Takamura became the WBC Junior Middleweight Champion after defeating Bryan Hawk. This season's highlight is Ippo Makunouchi's match against Ryuhei Sawamura, a boxer that stopped the former's special move, the Dempsey Roll."

That sounds to me like a 2-cour series. I was hoping it would end up quite a bit longer than that. But if the first ~14 episodes are spent on Ippo's fourth title defense, Takamura's first title defense, Aoki's title match, and Itagaki's rookie championships, maybe pushed a couple episodes further with some Kumi-based storyline, then it would leave ~6-10 episodes for the Sawamura match to be the highlight of the series and a brief epilogue/set-up for the next series, which would be in like, another 4+ years.
Unless there's some more storyline that happens in between those events, but that's based on what I've read in the previous 9 pages. I haven't read the manga (yet).
You forgot the most amazing Kamogawa/Nekota flash back! They really need that animated

Fcuk Yeah! That's What I'm Talking About!
With the sheer amount of source material available, they can do 150-200+ episodes, hope this is the case. *Fingers Crossed*
It will be awesome but there is the danger of low budget horrible things becoming norm like Naruto, Toriko and One Piece have. In the old days studios still kept a decent level even in 200 episode series, now they just don't bother at all.
