Veteran Voice Actor Kenji Utsumi Passed Away

It was reported that veteran voice actor Kenji Utsumi passed away at 15:01 today (June 13th) due to cancerous peritonitis, age 75. He debuted as a voice actor in 1963 and has appeared in many roles, the most famous being Senbei Norimaki in "Dr. Slump", Raoh in "Hokuto no Ken", and more recently Alex Louis Armstrong in "Fullmetal Alchemist" and Genji Kamogawa in "Hajime no Ippo". He also served as a voice actor in dubbing of foreign movies and as narrator in TV programs. He is survived by his wife, Michiko Nomura, a voice actress.

A senior upon the VA! So many generations of VA, ranging from his age to little one's that are barely pass the age of 18.

I love his voice as the buff Major Armstrong. >_< sad to find out he is gone.

His last role is as Todoroki Sensei in Gin no Saji (starting in July). From what I read he had finished all his parts. So this will be your chance of hearing his last work as a VA.
