Manga 'Tonari no Seki-kun' to be Animated (Confirmed to Air Jan 2014)

According to the cover wrap of the newly released copies of manga "Tonari no Seki-kun", the manga will get adapted to anime. No other information is available yet. The manga has 3 volumes published so far, with vol.4 coming out on April 5th.

Tonari no Seki-kun will be 10 mins. ep. that airs Sunday 26:05-26:15 on TV Tokyo and AT-X starting January 5, 2014. Inserted song will be sung by Ichirou Mizuki

Wasn't he called on by the teacher to read something? But I think that only happened once. Maybe background noises or random grunts when he's doing his usual shenanigans qualifies for the need to have a VA haha :)

Also, KanaHana for Yokoi is perfect.

I just found the manga, loving it and what do you know, it's getting an anime.

It is really one of those manga that know what they are and entertain A LOT without needlessly steeping out of their comfort zone. And despite its repetitiveness, it doesn't get boring. We have a fantastic Boke and a great Tsukkomi and they work so perfectly together. A simple fun, but that doesn't make it any less fun. Will be watching.
