Manga 'Highschool of the Dead' To Be Resumed in Spring

According to Monthly Dragon Age, manga "Highschool of the Dead" was announced to be resumed this Spring. Its serialization has been suspended since 2011.

Regarding the illustrator and author, from what I know the story for the next few chapters has already been finalized and are being worked on (very) slowly due to the illustrator having his own manga now. The illustrator has to take time out of work on his manga to work on HOTD, however he stated he wanted to keep the quality as good as it was before, therefore he has a lot of research to do on military and weapons. If you take into account that manga artists mostly work more then 12 hours a day (or more) to the deadline, it's not surprising that it's taking this long to release the next chapter. Chapter 31 most likely won't be released until a few more chapters are done being illustrated and inked. I doubt we'll see another long hiatus, but I wouldn't expect a chapter until November or December.

It's all that can be assumed, that either one or both of them are taking time for more research..... I think last time it was the artist who wanted to research, but it might have been the one doing the writing.... not sure. It would be better to even get a chap every 2 months- if not every month.... just annoying this way.

Not sure what going through his mind right now but to be quite honest I really don't see a second season anytime soon but that's just me.

As far as it goes for HotD, I'd prefer a new animated season myself, but manga receiving an advance is great progress as well.

It's been months since chap 30 came out- I know theyt want to research scenarios and such.... but this is annoying- either leave it on hiatus or release the damn thing.... it's getting a bit like HxH.
