Street Fighter IV To Be Animated

At the Tokyo Game Show 2008, a new animation based on the PlayStation 3 and XBOX360 game "Street Fighter IV" was announced. It will be a 50 - 60 minutes long animation. The director is Morimoto Kouji and the production company is Studio 4°C.

The castings are as follows:
Ryuu: Takahashi Hiroki
Vega: Wakamoto Norio
Ken: Kishi Yuuji
Balrog: Suwabe Junichi
Chun-Li: Orikasa Fumiko
Seth: Ohtsuka Akio
Guile: Yasumoto Hiroki
Sakura: Fukuen Misato

The trailer for the game from the TGS seems to include scenes from the anime. Looks like more Ryu versus Akuma business.

Hmm, seems like it'll be interesting, but I hope it doesn't follow the path of most "game-to-anime" series, which I'd have to day, pretty much suck.

I reckon I'll like the game, but I'm not too sure about this. Games rarely transition well into other forms of media. But there have been exceptions. I'll keep an open mind.

Sounds cool and it has some pretty decent voice talent there as well. Hopefully it will be better then previous anime based on the Street Fighter games.
