Cast to "Mahou Sensei Negima"- TV Drama announced

Today some of the cast for the tv adoption to Mahou Sensei Negima was made public. The following roles were announced:

Hiroshi Nao as Takamichi T. Takahata
Aikawa Nao as Shizuna Minamoto
Kashiwa Yukina as Negi Springfield

The story in Mahou Sensei Negima follows 10-year old Negi Springfield who is a magician in training to become a master wizard. As his last exam he must become an English teach in an all-female boarding school.

Don't really know what to say because the manga wasn't all that interesting for me to begin with. I might give the drama a shot, just to see how things turn out.

I actually do like how most of the girls look and I agree, it is all about the acting in the end.

I always figured they would have a Japanese actor/actress for Negi... it would be nuts to find a young Welsh Japanese speaking actor for the part o_O

I don't think it would be disastours since they might try their best not to make a total mess of the whole project

They ruined Ku Fei's hair though... hes is the only one I'm really upset about, the othes only got better but Ku Fei's look went down :(

Stupid American fans won't stop bitching... one even said they should hire American actors/actresses instead?! *sigh* I wasn't very optimistic about this but this overall lack of enthusiasm really makes me WANT to be more optimistic...

The Look of the characters doesnt count over everything... its the acting and that can still make up for it

Your right, having black hair would be better than some weak-ass wig... but why did they have that double page of them all with different hair, unless thats more the actors than the characters...

To be even more bitchy and say Negi should be from Wales, but finding a Welsh Japanese Speaking 10 year old kids is near impossible... well y'know

Read something about that somewhere. They have this buildup in their tv listings. So October 3rd at 25:20 is really October 4th 01:20.

Negi in the Anime is done by Rina Satou... So probably going along the same lines

I am slightly interested in the series, althouh they haven't bothered as much with the 31 girls

Could be, it is not impossible but the news source was posted yesterday as well. That is basically all I can go after. If you find that site by chance let me know if there were more actors presented on it than those three.

The Negi, Takahata, and Shizuna roles hadn't been announced but the entire cast for the class of 3-A already has! It has been out for about 3 months...

A few of the choices are fantastic in my opinion, a couple are REALLY terrible (Such as Kaede... wtf? She is 12 and short and not like a ninja at all T_T)

bah!! this is crap, I thought that the fact that it was gonna be a japanese kid and not a european looking kid was gonna suck but they really did it, is gonna be a japanse gerl, man... I'm not looking forward to this at all.

It would be so difficult to find a young Caucasian child who can speak Japanese well and would make a good actorfor the part of Negi O_o

I'm a huge MSN fan and I don't mind that it is a Japanese actor... or in the case actress.

Shes not even Caucasian. They should've got Daniel Radcliffe put a pony tail on him and taught him some Japanese. He was inspired by/ripped-off from Harry Potter. =D
