New Series of Hajime No Ippo Announced

According to Weekly Shounen Magazine, a new TV anime series of Hajime no Ippo was announced. It will start airing in January 2009.
The first series was aired from 2000 to 2002 and established a record high average rating as an "after-midnight" anime.

The new series will be resumed from the last special episode "Hajime no Ippo Champion Road (Ippo v.s. Sanada Kazuki match)" aired on Apr 18 2003.

Translation of the notes:

The story of the new series will resume from the last match, Ippo versus Sanada Kazuki. Probably we can watch the legendary match, Takamura Mamoru versus Brian Hawk.
