According to the cover note on the twelfth volume of the novel, the second season of Hyakka Ryoran: Samurai Girls was announced. The first season was aired in 2010.

Just re watched the first season and I it did leave a cliff hanger for a second season. They never found Amakusa body, I am assuming Muneakira is going to get more samurai hence the 7 master samurai who once were killed by Amakusa, Tokugawa and Yaguu didn't finish their fight, and I saw the preview where his crew fights more samurai and that chick with the red and brown eyes comes back. I am just as surprised as many to see a 3 year wait for a second season. I'll watch it just cause I need a sense in completion, and I loved the art style. We don't get much of that style anymore. Honestly though they should end this series in the 2nd season with at least 24 episodes.

It's not likes its uncommon to have a 2nd season after 2 years. Even Eureka 7 got a 2nd season and that was like what 6-7 years later

+ Hidamari Sketch had sequels that continued in a range of 5 years

Hopefully they censor it the same way as the first season. If it's the "generic" censors, I'll probably skip it. Yeah, I enjoyed the censored version of the first season more than uncensored. Uncensored was just generic.

well that was cool I don’t mind if a new one comes out, hell more anime for me, a side note did anyone that’s a girl enjoy this show, fan service aside “not that it was bad” it was a good show with the art and action and the main male lead was only half a bitch that didn’t know what to do with a girl even if it jumped on him "even at times they did" so I can’t complain

First season was fine guilty pleasure, and I really enjoyed the art style. Will be watching the second season if it comes out.
