Considering SM launched the anime viewing "careers" (hurr) of girls (and boys) all over the world (around my age anyways), it's really not a surprise. It's a good manga, and an important title. Good for it.

Not a Sailor Moon fan, but I think it's nice that it's being released in its original format and whatnot.
Is Witch and Wizard another OEL based on one of James Patterson's thousand novels?

Don't underestimate power of nostalgia, melancholy and well-established brand.
sailor moon might have died out in japan, but overall, I'd say it has even more recognition in mainstream than even dbz ever achieved. It is still being rerun in many channels all over the world and you'd be hard pressed to find a teenager girl who does not know what that name means.
And then you have those who already grew up with SM, as well as more general crowd who is in for short skirts :)
Its the thing that pretty much kickstarted the whole magical girl genre into the mainstream.
two top positions being taken over by sailor moon related stuff is no surprise.
