According to Jump Square magazine, Ao no Exorcist was announced to get an anime movie adaptation.

E.X.C.I.T.E.D. Hopefully it's a continuation of where the anime left off, I haven't read the manga. Either way I'm looking forward to this :)

Actually, the anime follows the manga's plot perfectly (except for episodes 6 and 11, which were anime-only filler) up until episode 15. Everything past episode 15 is original, anime-only material, and IMO most of it IS bad.

Like everyone else, I really want to know what the movie is about. The Kyoto Arc? Closure for the anime? A recap of the anime?
Also, does anyone have any info about the release date? According to the official website, it's coming out near the end of this year, but what is the exact release date? We haven't seen a proper trailer (with clips from the movie, anyway) and there haven't been many other announcements. Honestly, I'm beginning to get worried that it may have been cancelled or delayed. I know it's a little early to be worried, seeing as it's only July, but still.

I want 198398789794 episodes for next season 8D Ain't you guys like me? So yeah,I hope the movie won't be the closure of the first season or it will mean that the second season won't be made or will be made but from scratch.And I'd love it to be like the following season of the first.What do you guys think?

ye...when i was reading manga(after i had seen anime) and one point i realized "*sigh*the giant squid is anime only..."
I was dissapointed how anime derailed in plot. IF this gets new anime adaption, The Impure King story would be nice.

Mehh.. Not excited at all.

The anime is nowhere that awesome. Episode 1 is the only awesome one. Then it gets worst. I didn't read the manga, and I heard the anime didn't follow manga plot at all, thus I believe the manga must have been A LOT LOT better than the anime.

It did it more than enough justice. Until the anime took over from the anime I would say it was much better than the manga.
