Mizuki Nana Dominates Seiyu CD Sales Ranking

According to Oricon Biz, the success of the seiyu singers has attracted attention of the music industry. Music labels have been holding auditions to find new face seiyu singers in the next generation to Mizuki Nana and Tamura Yukari.

Anyone here have any idea how those talent agencies work in Japan? Are they the ones making all the cash or does the talent actually get some meat on the bone?

I'm very sure Sakamoto Maaya should be in between Mizuki Nana and Tamura Yukari. This list is not comprehensive and didn't list all the seiyuu-singers.

no surprise nana mizuki has always been the best seiyu singer. i think she really took off after R+V

$14 Million, eh? Depending on how much she gets from royalties, she could be close to being a millionaire by now. She could probably make a living from her singing career alone and it might explain why she's not as involved in the VA industry as she used to be anymore.

The others can only dream of getting that far, though some of them are relatively newcomers and could still become more famous over time.

She has a very powerful singing voice, though, so I can't say she doesn't deserve it.

Nana deserves the No 1 spot, she's an excellent singer and can do both the voice of older and younger characters well.

She ranks no.31 for mainstream sales. WOW!!!Just wow!!She did well in mainstream market.

Thanks for that. As a seiyuu, Mizuki Nana seems to be doing rather well in terms of mainstream sales I guess, however not as well. Anything to do with her being a seiyuu? Perhaps.
