Let go straight to the point: this novel is absurd (in an interesting way).

I already said it in a recommendation, but this series has the same flavor as series like One Punch Man or Psycho Mob 100 (a parody of its respective genre). Basically, you will find yourself an overpowered MC struggling to cope with his power, driving the story from one tsukkomi to another (so if you are into that kind of comical stories, you sure will enjoy it; but if you don't… you might end stopping the reading between the first or second volumen…)

To explain the previous note, I'll just say:

· The first ... volume tell us how our MC begins his apotheotic path, how he gets his absurd power, and how he meets the best girl of the series. At this point the story is still a nice adventure comedy.

· Then the second volume introduce us the new world where the story is taking place while giving us a perspective of how storng our MC and his first girl are; finishing with the MC crossing the line between OP to God-mode.

· Finally, from volume three onward, forget about any trace of suspense and enjoy lots and LOTS of tsukkomis about our MC being able to defeat any enemy with a single punch… as his mind melts while trying to believe that he is still "human".

Outside of the first and second volumes, the story is a big fat mansai sketch! In other words, the story is meant to make you laugh as it doesn't take serious itself.

I'm a fan of U35-sensei! So even if you are not interested in this kind of stories, you should at least go a see the illustrations for this light novel. They are just too lovable! (￣▽￣)♡

What to say? This is a catalog of all the stereotypes you can think about (here is where we see the difference between Miku-sensei and ONE-sensei, at least for the comparison I made above). I'm not saying that they are bad, actually I found them well constructed (to some point), it's just that there's barely any develop after volume 2!!

Oh, oh, oh absurd comedy. This story is perfect to turn off your brain and laugh to your heart content. Although, I can't rate this above 8, simply because the humor is basically completely focused in tsukkomis. Don't mind me, but it is tiresome sometimes…

This story is not brilliant, actually is very cliche, but it sure is comical. So if you feel like going for an easy laugh while turning off your brain, this series is waiting for you. (･ω<)☆

The story is pretty decent, if not crazy at times (with how the MC gains his power and everything), and if it didn't annoy me, it drew me in. The only problem here is that there are a bit too many sub-plots I do not care about, although they may turn out just right depending on how they merge with the main storyline.

The protagonist is unable to really accept his power and he gets depressed all the time when he defeats his enimies easily and sometimes tries not to fight in the first place which caused me considerable discomfort at times, although it was quite ... funny otherwise.
About other characters, some of them are rather unique(the first heroine is a gorilla, there are some perverts etc.) however, in time, the main heroines turn out quite similiarly personality-wise. Another issue is that there are a tad too many, in fact, enough to dedicate to their re-introduction and summary two entire chapters(although the sheer amount of them might not be the only reason) as well as for the author to dedicade 1,5 chapters about a battle to show how minor characters fight as well as name those who have not been thus far.*(Incidentally, the rest was just the protagonist annihilating enemies)

The enjoyment has so far been fluctuating from 6 to 8 where 6 is when the story starts to progress in some direction, which appears to head nowhere, and 8 is when MC gets to be badass or when the story is finally headed towards an acceptable goal. Other than that, the seemingly omnipresent tsukkomi(even the protagonist realizes that he comments on everything all the time) are sometimes rather funny even though it's not really my thing but they generally just set a light mood for an easy read.

Overally, it is a funny novel with not that much action(but when there is, it is quite awesome) focusing more on comedy, its own share of cringeworthy moments and the protagonist's struggle with his own power.

*this might be important later on but at this point in time it was just annoying

Story- Overlooking a couple of things, the story was doing pretty well though the early chapters. However, once the mc left where he was original living, the story became ridiculously stupid. I could not believe how much the story change in just a few chapters. Maybe it was supposed to add some humor, with it was over done. After those chapters, I had to drop the series.

Characters- I actually liked the main character at the beginning. His life has been crappy and he was still positive and kept a sense of humor. I figured spending months in ... the forest, defeating several monsters stronger than him, and acquiring cheat skills. I figured he was going to keep on progressing, but for some reason he regressed after leaving the forest. He was intimidated by a few thugs. The female character also seem to regress, at least her feeling for the mc.

Enjoyment- I was enjoying reading the story, but after the introduction of the guild, I felt like I was robbed of my time spent reading the beginning. I am going to skip most of the story until he meets up with his classmates.

Overall- I heard that the mc does some incredible achievements further into the story, but the latest English translated chapters put a bad taste in my mouth.
