Both stories go around a male MC sent to a world of magic and swords where he ends in the middle of a tipical romantic harem comedy development while having to surf the goes and comes of a fantasy adventure. However the differences start with how they ended on those worlds: in Mushoku it's a reincarnation, while in Shinka the MC is "teleported". Another thing to take on count is that in Mushoku the MC is not exactly an OP... While in Shinka a good amount of the jokes come from the MC commplaining about being an OP. The next difference is that Mushoku has a more "realistic" approach to how a fantasy world might work, while Shinka's is basically a RPG-videogame with menu screen and everything. Another important fact comes from the core of the stories. In Mushoku, you will find a slow romantic development as the story is focused on the adventure and the growth of the characters. Meanwhile in Shinka you will find a more stereotyped development with the apparition of a new heroine per volumen and all the cliches that would drive her to fall for the MC. read more

In two letters: OP. Just like that, both stories revolve around these Over Powered MCs complaning about being too over powered. However, what you must remember is that both are comedies, satires of their respective genres. One punch man: it's a parody that mocks about the superheroe concept along with the archetype of the battle mainstream mangas. Shinka no mi: it's a manzai sketch full of countless tsukkomi per chapter pointing out the absurdness of the cliches seen in most of the isekai light novels. Although, if I should point a difference, the principal might be the development: One punch man jumps right into the acid humor that will, little by little, break the shell of the characters surrounding the MC, deepening the story and the world where it takes place. Shinka no mi, on the other side, has more of a childish flavor. The jokes go for an easy laugh and the development pace is SO slow, that you might think that there is none; and unless you are really into random humor, you probably will quit after the first arc ends. read more
