The protagonist is unable to really accept his power and he gets depressed all the time when he defeats his enimies easily and sometimes tries not to fight in the first place which caused me considerable discomfort at times, although it was quite funny otherwise.
About other characters, some of them are rather unique(the first heroine is a gorilla, there are some perverts etc.) however, in time, the main heroines turn out quite similiarly personality-wise. Another issue is that there are a tad too many, in fact, enough to dedicate to their re-introduction and summary two entire chapters(although the sheer amount of them might not be the only reason) as well as for the author to dedicade 1,5 chapters about a battle to show how minor characters fight as well as name those who have not been thus far.*(Incidentally, the rest was just the protagonist annihilating enemies)
The enjoyment has so far been fluctuating from 6 to 8 where 6 is when the story starts to progress in some direction, which appears to head nowhere, and 8 is when MC gets to be badass or when the story is finally headed towards an acceptable goal. Other than that, the seemingly omnipresent tsukkomi(even the protagonist realizes that he comments on everything all the time) are sometimes rather funny even though it's not really my thing but they generally just set a light mood for an easy read.
Overally, it is a funny novel with not that much action(but when there is, it is quite awesome) focusing more on comedy, its own share of cringeworthy moments and the protagonist's struggle with his own power.
*this might be important later on but at this point in time it was just annoying
