The story had potential, but it is ruined by idiotic characters. A group of people fought against a vampire, most were so scared that they froze in place, and some soiled themselves. Somehow, they were able to kill the vampire. However, some suspicious girl told them that there were two more in an island holding one of their friends. They decide to go to the island, not fully armed. The mc knew the girl was lying about the number of vampires, but did not think to mentioned it once to his group. There is no point to continue explaining ... what happened next. Over 20 chapters of reading, not one intelligent person in the group. The story is a good example of natural selection.

The manga caught my attention, because I thought it was about an awesome werewolf. It was about an awesome werewolf for a while, but then it turned into rape hentai. The author showed backstories of two different girls that were raped in a few panels, but enough to invoke the emotion he wanted. However, the author then focused a whole arc about a character repeatedly being raped by a group of gangsters. I had to double check the title, because I thought I was reading a hentai. The character that was gang-raped had been raped two other different occasions. The ... title should probably be changed to The Horrible Life of Akiko Aoshika.

The I liked the mc at the beginning, but I later realize he is a hypocrite. He claims he wants to be alone and does not seems like he wants to do function in society when he becomes an adult. He plans to live out in the wild, but he has been jumping from school to school, because of fights, instead of living in the wild. Then he talks about how much he despises humans, or pities them, but is more willing to kill animals than humans, regardless how horrible the human. Again, the mc claims he does not want to involve himself with humans, but he involves himself enough to aggravate the ire of the hostility of some humans. He provokes some humans enough to cause destruction around him and going as far as raping someone close to him. The mc turned a horrible gangster, into a psychotic murderer.

Them we have Ryuuko, the horrible human that has gotten away with almost everything. She also had a dark past, but her current actions did not make me feel pity for her. She was the root cause of the gang-rape.

Summing the story up, the “invincible” werewolf still had problems with the human middle-schooler antagonist throughout the story.

How do I explain Chihou Kishi Hans no Junan? I figured it would be easy to write a review of this manga, but it is harder than I thought. If I describe it like similar stories with fantasy and transported to another world elements, it will not do it justice. The mc, Hans, would more likely be an NPC in similar stories. While the strong people from another world would be the main characters, or they would be the antagonist trying to bully the NPCs. However, in this story the town and the Japanese get along, and are trying to ... cope with being able to survive in a new world. The mc and the town try to help the Japanese as much as they can, and vice-versa. Also, Orcs, goblins, and other beasts have a certain role in these types of stories, but not here. For the most part, it is slice-of-life comedy, but war seems to be looming nearby.
Most of the characters so far are awesome. The muscle-head glutton, Mitsuba, which Hans needs to constantly supervise. The not so bright OP Ken’ichi, that seems to attract the opposite sex, both human and non-human. The healer Kyoji that can sense whenever Ken’ichi is surrounded by woman, and hates him for it. The cook with an awesome background Koushirou. Rein also has an interesting story, but takes it too far with her obsession.
I used to like transported to another and game-like element stories, but most of them have become repetitive. Not all humans are good guys and not all non-humans are bad guys, or vice-versa, at least in this town. Most of the residents in the town want to protect their home, so they would have a common enemy, internally or externally.

I usually like these types of anime, and I wanted to like this one as well. However, I was unable to like it and it is because of the characters. First, there is the tsundere Sistine, who is quick to use violence on her own teacher. I do not have problems with tsunderes, but when they do not hesitate to use violence on the mc, but unable to fight back against their enemies is annoying. If Sistine is not using violence on mc, she is crying or freezing-up against the enemy. Next comes Rumia, which most part of the show ... she spends as the damsel-in-distress. Then again, she is a princess, so she is always in another castle. She should be training on protecting herself more. Probably the character that I dislike the most is the one that fits the typical manga/anime trope, easily forgiven. In manga/anime, no matter what horrible act a character commits, if they apologize all will be forgiven. Another trope I dislike when a parent is also easily forgiven for what they did to their child, which the mother in this case is forgiven. Later, in the anime, it was made like the mother was not that bad. She was and she still is, but all the characters are okay with her, including her daughter.

As I was watching the anime, some parts became familiar. Then I realized it was based on a LN that I dropped a while back. I was reminded through the anime why I dropped it, and it was mostly the female characters. First we have the female lead, Yatorishino. She is blindly loyal to her ideas and prevents the MC from expressing his own. Clearly, Yatorishion would choose her ideas over her "friend," so I am not sure why Ikta is friends with her. She also uses force to suppress Ikta whenever he brings up unorthodox, but good points. ... Next is the Princess, she forces a lazy, belligerent Ikta into becoming an a soldier (officer candidate at that), which he vehemently was against. Then we have Suuya, who has a personal grudge against the mc, and uses it to disrupt order withing the men in his command. However, all these problems may be due to the mc not having any backbone and separating himself from these toxic women. Also, for someone who is lazy, young and against joining the military, Itka is a genius in combat and strategy.

Just like the LN, this anime could have been better if those female characters would have been removed. Their deaths would be a perfect excuse for the mc to grow.

I liked the premise of the story, even though two wrongs do not make a right, but I could understand the leads. However, the premise was tossed away early in the story, and it was the leads that become worse. The worse of the all the characters is the female lead. She rejected the male lead a couple of times, and after the male lead tried to act normal in front of her, she felt sad that the male lead stopped chasing after her. She picked her boyfriend over the male lead, but she ignored the boyfriend while she was focused ... on the male lead after she rejected the male lead. In the end she broke the hearts of two guys, and two new guys seemed to be chasing after the female lead. One of the other guys fell for her while he was chasing after the male lead's girlfriend. It is a more a reverse-harem, while the female leads keeps breaking hearts and always has a stupid excuse. So, after the premise of the story disappear, the story began going downhill with a crappy female lead.

The story was doing well, I was able to overlooked the mc, Kouta not verifying if Kanau was his real daughter. I also overlooked where the story would end up, more likely family love turning into romantic love (I have no problem with fictional incest), without easing into it. However, I could not continue with the "twists" that came out of nowhere to fit the current relationship. Several of the mothers in this story are horrible, but one is the worst. Yet, after a few chapters we find that she had her reasons and almost everyone seemed to forgive her. ... Her daughter was not angry at her mother because she abandon or beat her, but because she was jealous she might take a guy away from her? Really? Then, a romantic relationship was revealed with no romantic hints in the present, but it was revealed through a flashback. I guess the author wants to ease us into the present relationship with the reveal, but the "twist" did not make sense. After the reveal, the couple was suddenly lovey-dovey in the present. The reveal also removed a love interest away from the mc.

I began reading this series because I was looking something similar to Yotsuba, but it turned into to be the opposite. Yet, it was not a bad series, and I would have rated the series higher if it was not for the male lead. The mc met his lover as a freshman in high school, while his lover was a senior. Later, his lover leaves him to study abroad and does not hear from her for five years. Next time he hears her name, she passed away and was secretly raising their child. No DNA test, and takes ... the child as it was his. Also, the mc does not have any romantic relationships with other women because he is unable to forget his lover during all those years. A year or more passes with him and his daughter, and he is unable to move on from a lover that left him in high school. The best character, Koharu, his daughter also suffers and misunderstand situations blaming herself because the mc is unable to move on.
The rest of the characters are not bad, from the mc's parents, to his mother-in-law, and Koharu's friend's and their families, including his deceased lover. The less likable character I found was the mc.

For the most part, the manga was decent, with not much separating it from similar manga. However, I gave it a bad rating because of the ending and especially one chapter. I hope I can explain it without giving out many spoilers. The story is about a love triangle between a girl, her teacher and her classmate. It seemed like the mangaka had an ending for the lead, Suzume, to end up with one of her love interest. It was set-up to be with a certain character throughout the story, while the other characters was going to be the one ... with the unrequited love. From my understanding, the unrequited love character was better received by readers of this story. I am not sure if the mangaka paid attention to this, but the ending seem to coincide with it. Yet, it unexpectedly changed in one chapter, instead of developing the real love Suzume had for that character. In one chapter, love turned to admiration and superficial love turned into real love. It did not progressed slowly, but changed instantly, which ruined the series for me.

Started well with the main leads romance, but then it turned into many unrequited loves and love triangles with various characters. The two leads liked each other, but many, many things interfere for them to be together. Early on, I was rooting for the leads, but after a while I stopped rooting for any couple pairings. The male lead had a chance to be with the female lead several times, but he rejected her for different reason. He finally acted after the female lead had a boyfriend. As for the female lead, she only agreed to having a boyfriend for ... convince. She liked the male lead in middle school, and like him again in high school. However, she immediately dated the first guy to ask her out and was forcing herself to like him. In other words, the boyfriend is like a rebound boyfriend, without having a boyfriend before. Yet, with a boyfriend she was flirting and sometimes acting lovey-dovy with the male lead. As for the boyfriend, she told him he had feelings for the male lead, and he saw it himself. It did not matter to him, so he still wanted to go out with her. So, he should not have been angry or surprised of how she was acting, but he did. The character I probably like after a while might have been Aya.
