I only just started reading manga but there is a larger variety which really helps people find what they want.
"the manga is tons better" etc. is what I read basically on every anime review ( exagerration :P)
But anyways back to the topic. If any of you have seen toradora, this is very, VERY similar. At least it seems so. However there are quite a few different factors.
STORY-8
Otaku. Traumatized past. Wants to become cool. Hides his past.
GIRL. Falls in love with an OTAKU who is cool.
It basically tells their adventures together throught a mutual pact. Girl helps Otaku become cool ( live full life etc.) and ... Otaku helps Girl become an Otaku to hang out with the otaku she likes. Of course you can expect random twists and turns. What sort of story would be a simple helpout story? If you want that- go read a kiddy book or fairy tail.
Art
I have a hard time knowing whether manga art is good or bad because I am not too well with black and white but as you can see, the artwork ( on the cover) seems quite nice and well drawn throughout the story ( haha I'm not exactly an artwork inspector.
Character-9
Every character seems to have a backstory that they have to tell and are quite unique and have their own special thoughts and opinions.

I have a difficult time enjoying manga as I get distracted and bored however I enjoyed it so far.

This isn't exactly spectacular and not going to be a clannad, air, ef etc. but if you want a fun romantic comedy with otaku's this is for you.It's a nice story and has well done art.

As a preface, I'm a guy who likes a good clean uplifting romance more than any other genre. I want the romance aspect front and center with a good story. I can take some depressing drama and even borderline NTR but only in moderation. The stories I go for don't necessarily have to be unique and without typical tropes as long as the presentation is great.

Having said that, this manga was great. And because of the whole premise, the pace was quite energetic. Something relevant was always happening to push character development so I never got a slice of life feel in it, and I'm ... not complaining at all. Each episode enthralled me and had me binge the whole thing in just a few hours. There were some situations where it got uncomfortable to borderline painful for me, but not for too long as I feel the author was intentionally being careful not to overmarinate the reader with that sour feeling.

Who would this story be good for? If you're having insecurities with who you are, or if you're being hardheaded about "changing yourself", this would be perfect for you. Everything is a compromise in life. Basically, it's saying you need to love yourself for who you are, but you also need to love yourself enough to be willing to change for the better.

Man I've missed a good by-the-book romcom. This was the most satisfying read in a long time. There are no unnecessary complications, misunderstandings or other annoying tropes. Just a solid romantic comedy that know what it is and executes it perfectly.

The story is basically Toradora! but condensed into half the runtime. I would dare to say though it is just as good. No chapter is wasted and it all flows from beginning to end beautifully. 10/10 story, not because it's anything groundbreaking but because it's executed perfectly. Couldn't have been written better.

The characters are alright, they serve their roles well and are likable, other than ... though I can't give them too much praise. None of them were particularly complex or went further than what the story needed them to. 7-8/10 and I don't think they could've done any better without ruining the story and pacing.

The art is pretty. I liked it. I am a bit put back by the juvenile look of everyone (what with everyone being 16 and older), not my personal cup of tea. But it is pretty so I give it a 7/10.


Overall this is a very enjoyable manga. If you need a refill on some high quality doki dokis you're in for some good sh*t. Very much recommended.
