Preliminary Spoiler

This was an INCREDIBLE manga.

I started reading this to procrastinate homework about...oh, less than twenty four hours ago. And when I first started, I was not overly impressed. The art was a bit rough, kind of confusing, and in some ways just poorly/sloppily executed. But for whatever reason, I committed myself.

And then it just got better and better! Characters that seemed so hollow at first, so poorly developed, began to gain in momentum. Her comical reactions to constructive criticism went from laughably unrealistic to just flat out admirable. It was absurdly inspiring to me!

My FAVORITE aspect of the manga was the main love ...

Preliminary (15/70 chp)
Kino Hime is a 15 year old girl who is a student in the Seiyuu (Voice acting) Department in Hiiragi Academy. The only problem is is that her voice isn't really suitable for those adorable girls in anime and her classmate, Kudou Senri, thinks so too. Now Hime's goal is to become a top grade seiyuu and prove herself to the school and to Senri.

(Um...Im not very good at writing reviews, but I'll try!)

I actually enjoy this manga. I love the plot and the comedy is hilarious. To me, Senri and Hime are similar to Hikari and Kei from Special A, plus the author created ...

I thoroughly enjoyed this manga. Although at times I was afraid it would turn into a reverse harem-esc manga, it did not disappoint me in the end. I actually found this through Special A (since it is the same author), and was happily surprised to see such a cute change in the author's style. Other than the style, the story was quite entertaining and made me smile a lot. The characters are very colorful too, each are very easy to distinguish. My only complaint was the slow pace of the romance.

It is my first time writing a review but i enjoyed this manga so much that i decided to go for it
Well i actually stumbles across seiyuu kaa while searching for minami maki's other work. I was already a great fan due to Special A who is already a great favourite of mine.

The story was great. There was some place where it was clicheed but it was quite different too. It was light and really enjoyable. There was time when i was going all kyaa and there was time when i was banging my head in frustration or hiding my face with embarrassment

The art was ...

Seiyuu Ka! is a fun romantic comedy that has a little something not many shoujo's out there have. It's not a masterpiece by any means but I genuinely enjoyed the experience and found this series hard to put down after the first couple of chapters.

One of the major strengths of Seiyuu ka! is the protagonist, Kino Hime. After an incident where she met a voice actor for the popular "Magic Fighter Lovely Blazers" series as a child, Hime aspires to become a voice actor for the same series, and enrolls in a high school that has a department specializing in voice acting. But nothing's ...

Mixed Feelings
I'm going to try my best not to post spoilers for this review. Seiyuu Ka! as mentioned in the synopsis is about our heroine Kino Hime who wishes to become a famous seiyuu due to the influence of her idol Aoyama Sakura. Like any other bishoujo mangas, this one had the gender-bender category, so it was a tiny bit different from the usual.

Moving along:
1. Story - the plot wasn't very catchy enough for me. For me it felt like the same old manga where girls who has no talent/skills wants to enter the showbiz world and stumbles upon really hot guys, etc... But along ...

My friend recommended me this manga, and when i started reading the first 10 chapters or so i got hooked right into it! I just love manga that have a realistic and inspiring storyline like Seiyuu-ka!. Since such good storyline is hard to find and to read. The characters are enjoyable and full of emotions making each one unique!

The artwork is creative and express the characters well. Especially when it illustrate Hime's smile. This manga wouldn't let me stop reading. Every time i finnish one chapter it makes me want to read more even though i read a lot already.

I recommend this manga to ...

Seiyuu Ka-! is a manga based on a girl names Kino Hime she is 15 years old and whos dreams is to become a first class seiyuu(voice actors) to become a "Lovely Blazer"

her only problem is that she has a very "special" voice (hehehe)
and that her mother is really cold towards her to the point of calling her "useless child" ..... now you might be thinking that this is a gloomy Heroin that need her prince to save her all the time, right?
but that is not the case

our Heroin Hime-san is a cheerful ,hardworking girl who takes all the negative and positive criticism and turns ...

So the manga Seiyuu-Ka! starts off with our main character, Kino Hime and her obsessive dream to become a world-class Seiyuu after a run in with her idol (Aoyama Sakura) as a small child. Her only problem is, she's utterly hopeless at any attempt of voice acting.
She then enrolled in Hiiragi Academy which is where we meet the main male of the story, Kudo Senri; the antisocial tsundere. There are also the two already-successful upperclassmen idols, Hime's mysteriously-driven manager, and the random people she meets along the way.

But more to the point of the story; although this is marked as a 'romantic comedy', the lack ...

So I have to say that this plot was interesting and pulled me in at the beginning. I seriously stayed up at night reading it because it was so good and I wanted to find out what happened next or what developed. But a breakdown:

Story: I give it an 8. It was interesting. I love the idea of going for your dream and learning to get back up again after failures. The story progressed well. But by the end I felt it was lacking. I felt like the author could have put more into the story line the development of relationships with characters. Like ...

Seiyuu ka! was a really fun read. It's a shoujo manga whose main focus isn't romance, so if you like your romance and dokidoki moments perhaps this isn't the series for you.

The show revolves around main characters Hime and Senri (mostly Hime), and Hime's path to becoming a seiyuu despite her bad voice acting. I grew to like these two characters very much, and they never acted in a way that annoyed me, so I had a lot of fun watching them. The romance between the two of them isn't focused much on at all, so if you want a satisfying dokidoki romance you might ...

I personally liked this manga, it was like meant for me.

Although I was a little dissatisfied with the ending, the story in itself was really great and enjoyable, it might be a little cliched but there's nothing wrong with that, what's more important is that each chapter ended in a way that makes the reader want to keep reading, never have I ever wanted to drop this manga.

The characters were well developed, although I would have liked some more development on some characters or, like, more appearances of those characters. I personally think that the main character, Hime, may be a little dumb and stupid ...

Seiyuu Ka! by Minami Maki

I am not really a fan of the gender bender category but I must say this manga was done really well. Although when I was reading for the first time, I did not find it interesting probably because of the lead female character--in my opinion, she was trying too hard--but later as you go along with the lead female character, Kino Hime, I came to love her.

The mangaka did a job well done in expressing both Hime's character and Shiro separately. Almost as if it was originally two different characters.

The manga is considered a shoujo but in my opinion, there was ...

Hime is a heroine with a seemingly impossible goal: become a super star seiyuu (voice actor) even though she has the most "uncute" voice ever, enough to sound like a boy. Or is that her strength? She doesn't know. All she does know is that she has a tough road ahead of her and she's surrounded by much more talented people. But she soon learns that being talented does not a perfect human being make.....along with some pretty other valuable life lessons....

Now THIS is how you write good shoujo manga.

It's fluffy and cute. There is drama...but it's not like "hey, this can be solved if ...

I start reading this manga after searching through Minami Maki sensei's work, and i found that many people said this manga was her best job, so i tried it. So here is my review...

Story (7/10)
For me the plot is pretty good because i have never read any shoujo manga that talks about being a seiyuu. So it is a quite interesting plot at first. But, for me, the problem here is the feeling that i got when reading this manga and when i finished it. I read it pretty fast at first because it still interesting, but at some point i'm becoming slower and slower. ...

So I finished Voice Over. Its hard to judge this series. Cuz it does so many things wrong I don't even know where to start. First of all there are only 2 characters are i actually liked. BOSS and curses chick. Both were hillarious whenever they showed up but the rest were pretty flat. I liked the main character's issue. She really wanted to be a pretty herione. But she has a rough voice. So she keeps getting casted as a male characters which i thought was a good dynamic, But the author found a way to make it boring. Honestly besides Comedy this entire ...

Overall, i liked it especially nearing the end. The last chapter o///o! The first half i was like 'meh' because it seemed as if the characters and plot weren't very developed and the characters appear randomly. Kudou was just off and didn't appear enough. But like Hime/Shiro's acting, the manga improved. I would have liked if the ending showed Kazuma and Kudou meet and I was hoping a display of Ume ending up with Takayanagi but oh well ending is awesome!

Preliminary (60/70 chp)
Well, I'm into making radio programs and I've even won an international competition for one, so I understand how important a good voice is.

That's what this story is about, Hime(the main girl) wants to be the best voice actress ever, but unfortunately she's a mega failure. So you read about how she improves and all the obstacles she must overcome to do so.

What kinda annoyed me as I read on, is how she manages to capture the heart of these incredibly handsome men simple by being naive and innocent and optimistic and having a dazzling smile despite her difficult childhood and the problems she's always ...

Well, after finishing the manga. I must say the ending sucked. I was really hoping for a splended ending. Like, I kept up the with manga ever since it came out. I actually loved the plot and I love love love the art! It was so unique. At least Hime went with the person I wanted her to be with. I enjoyed every chapter until the end. But, I give this manga a "so-so" after reading the ending.
