Skip Beat! is very similar in that both have main characters aiming to be at the top of the entertainment industry, though Skip Beat! is more into acting. Both protagonists are very hardworking and would rather die than to give up. Furthermore, the mother of both the main characters treat their children as disappointments. I really recommend this manga! It has it's unique plot that will make you ask for more!

i find the humor incorporated in both of them is similar (weird and funny faces...) XD

Both girls are really cheery, and hold back on crying when they can. Uru from SKS likes people a lot more than Hime from SK; even though both get along with people really well, Hime gets mad more. Both gave me a similar feel when reading it. There are really funny parts with sad undertones.

Well, both have a girl who really isn't good at anything. They get really terrible grades, and at home their always in the shadow of their younger sister. When they go to a skills school to go into a career (YP is patissiere, and SK is voice actor) they get put into the advanced section, but after the first day everyone wonders why because they fail at everything! However, overtime they improve, and when they succeed in something, they do it REALLY well. Both girls have a lot of guys falling for them.

the story is like S.A (special a). Both heroines are determined to achieve there goals. Also both the boy main character are always greater than the heroine. They also have their friends to support them. Both mangas have the same author Minami Maki.

Both about acting with gender bender and a sweet romance. :) Really cute! Also has some family troubles. And in both, the girl isn't really considered to be "cute" by others. However, they aren't considered cute for totally different reasons. Read it and you'll see! Definitely worth the time.

-main characters enter into professional fields (go and voice acting) -they are extremely good at the beginning because they have something that gives them an edge (Sai and the princely voice) -overtime they have to stop relying on that special circumstance and they are shoved back to beginner level -they work hard to enter into the field on their own without extra help

Cute shoujo romances about likable high school kids trying to make it in the world of Japanese show business.

Shoujo romances about super-upbeat girls learning about Japan's entertainment industry.

Both have to do with a female lead that has a dream or goal of becoming the best at what they do and so they enter a special department at school for their specific fields - singing and voice acting. In both stories the main protagonist have to cross dress in order to achieve their goals and dreams. Seiyuu Ka! focuses more on how the protagonist grows and becomes better through hard work. Charisma Doll focuses more on how the protagonist tries to hide the fact that she's already famous. The endings for both are very sweet, albeit predictable. However, both are done in a  read more

Both series are about young kids trying to make it big in an area of Japanese entertainment; voice acting for anime in Seiyuu Ka! and manga in Bakuman. The protagonists in each series each have dreams regarding their careers and have to overcome many obstacles to reach them, failing numerous times. Both series also feature slow building romance.

In both mangas, a girl attempts to make it big in the showbiz world, and also has many people to support her, including her love interest. Both girls start off small, but eventually, they get better at it with many new opportunities for their jobs. However, Seiyuu Ka and Cat street do have their differences, as in Seiyuu Ka she crossdresses to be a seiyuu, whereas in Cat Street she aims to be an actress, and was already considered a child prodigy at a young age, but due to an incident, quit.

Both have a girl who has to dress as a guy in order to do her job, which is in the acting industry except one has her as a manager and one is an actual actor. If she is found out, she loses her job. She works with two guys who are super big in the industry, and meets a lot of other people. Both girls have a stunning smile, and there are multiple guys that fall in love with them.

the artwork in both works are really good. i find some points in the storyline similar like crossdressing. seyuu-ka isn't yaoi but love stage is.

Both of these manga's involve a teenage girl in the music industry. One manga, Seiyuu Ka—!, is at school trying to become an idol, while Yume Chu is about a girl who discovers idols.

Both have something to do with the music industry.

Both main characters have a unique voice. In 'Seiyuu Ka-!?' the main character goes professional, and in 'Ikusaba Animation' the main character is part of the animation producing club. An interesting thing about these mangas are that the characters are like polar opposites to the other manga, but both are trying to do (essentially) the same thing. 'Seiyuu Ka-!?' is over and has around 70(?) chapters, but 'Ikusaba Animation' has just started, has 3 chapters, all around 60(?) pages.

They are both about aspiring young girls wanting to make it big in their particular industry. For Honey Hunt it's acting and for Seiyuu Ka it's voice acting. There are also a couple guys following the girl and they both don't start off too well. Both really enjoyable.

Cross dressing main characters because of work. Umi of "Nousatsu Junkie" dresses up as a girl while Hime of "Seiyuu Ka" dresses up as boy. Also, both heroine has work issues. Naka is a model with a "criminal face" and can't laugh normally while Hime is a voice actor with a horrid voice not suitable for voicing cute anime girls. Both are very funny and sweet.

The only real similarity is the female leads they both try their hardest no matter what, they are overly optimistic almost to a fault, and they care about the people around them more than themselves.

Both about some person wanting to be famous (Izumi in Tenshi ja nai and Hime in Seiyuu ka) and having to switch genders in order for it to come true. Of course you'll get the friends that help keep it a secret too (^_^)
reportRecommended by DeadlyAngel
Both protagonists are similar in that they worry about those around them more than about themselves as well as the enemies at times. At first, they both were considered to be at the bottom of their abilities (voice acting/magic) and were useless but in the future their ability shows to be more promising than others thought. Even though both plots are different, they still somehow feel similar to each other in that they are both heartwarming. Gakuen Alice is about a girl and her friends at a school for people with powers, while Seiyuu is about a girl moving toward her dream as a seiyuu.
