My forename derived from a mythological god, and funnily enough my surname coincidentally means almost the same.

French given name given by my aunt = feminine, fewer than 4 syllables, and is of likely Germanic origin

Chinese given name given by..... wait, wait, wait, gotta ask my father for this = has a poetic meaning of "fortunate" and "something about the sense of having a monolithic quality or responsibility depending on the Classical Chinese interpretation" together

Korean given name = Korean transliteration, sort of like on'yomi in the Japanese reading element, of my Chinese given name, rarely use it

My childhood nickname, Malchik = Russian for boy given by my grandfather because I didn't grow my hair long until I was 14, really looked like a slightly younger boy at that time

My surname is a mythical monster, which is awesome.

It's just a name, no meaning here.
You'd have to trace the origin of it back to ancient Hebrew, but that's not even the same name at that point.
Meanwhile in Japan "Blue" and "White" are actual names.

God's gift. Apperently very popular meaning considering that Theodore, Nathanael, Matthew, Jonathan, Bogdan, Deodatus, Theodosius and the ancient Persian Bagadates all mean the same thing.

The other cognates include Bogdan or something similar in Slavic languages.

Yep, i know the meaning of one of my names, since its very straightforward in the first place, even when nobody told me it or if i looked it up on my own. Not sure about my other name, though.

My name means a young man who holds the banner of victory. In other words... a flagbearer.

It has nothing to do with my username though.

My given name was originally a surname, and the surname is commonly hypothesized to come from Irish for "small king".

My given name has two characters. The first one means "to melt", but my mother chose it not for this original meaning but for its structure. It has a left radical representing the element I lacked in the Five Elements, and the right part carries my mother's wish for me to live a happy life. The second character means "elegant", though I don’t think I’m an elegant person now.

My name is unusual since I basically have a surname as my given name. It's not an uncommon surname in the US, but I can count the number of other people I met with the same given name on my fingers.

As for my actual surname, supposedly it was the name of our sept back in Scotland, but I have never been able to verify this beyond some hearsay and vague, surface level research. It's not one of those stereotypical "Mac" names.

Full name comes out to strong man/free man + he who descends + gift of God or something like that. Sounds so pretentious however, outlined like that.

The old books also said harvester/reaper but maybe they were wrong like so many old books as we're finding out. I once met a crooked salesman with the same name and told him what our name means. He said "WELL I AM A HARVESTER OF MEN!" and I thought of making a tasteless joke but realized he met the men in his Ponzi scheme lmao.

Cool, you got a couple RARE PULLS of names!!! :D

Was the little sheep a big mythological wolf monster in disguise the whole time?! And this means our personas were made to battle each other in epic showdowns! >:D

I am named after a deity and my birthday and zodiac sign align with it too and this was not even intentional by my parents.

The names are older than that so it isn't their meaning etymolgically.

Must be nice knowing your family name meaning. I don't know what mine is even though it is a historically significant name of important people.

Why can't you simply Google it- you obviously would, so there has to be another reason. Is too obscure? Was the meaning lost to time? tbh, the way names have multiple meanings makes me think they were mostly lost to time anyways.

To think that our great Cleo was named after Cleopatra, a person that predates even our Lord Jesus. They were probably naming cats after her long before the disciples were born..! :O

Wait was that really confirmed by Heathcliff lore? If so I never caught that reference. 😱 Then again when I was watching the cartoon I probably didn't even know who Cleopatra was. All I cared about is that Cleo was hot. 🤣

My first name comes from the lead singer of a band my parents went on their first date for.

My last is a job, the german word for Jailer.
My waifu is the most wonderful waifu. Mai Valentine.

We're freaking out that we're running out of time, but to do what? Should i stop and think of that? Is there something i could do to slow it down? Live in a day for once, instead of watch it sprinting by

My 1st name is shared by multiple people in the Bible. My middle name is shared with an obscure Fate servant. I don't know where either my father's or mother's last names come from.

Ew who still uses Google anymore. I have done this before but results keep turning up historical figures but not explaining the origin of the name. It might exist in a book but online I can't find info in English.
