I think ass used to be more of a focus, but restrictive airing standards caused a cutback on ass/pantyshots. You can't hide large tits easily since it is under the face which is needed to animate and show for expressions. This is why tits are more of a focus, and because genitals are taboo, but nipples are not.

Anime focuses on boobs because they’re easier to exaggerate, easier to animate, and historically coded as the go-to fanservice trope noticed the more one consumes shit in this medium. Glutes exist, sure, but anatomy isn’t driving the trend. It all boils down to artistic style and cultural taste, from what I have seen.

The same shit can be said about fucking panties in Anime. Japanese culture doesn't find shit like that taboo to be showing short incidental glimpses of a women's panties in general media entertainment, even in live action media.

Cosmetic surgery isn't a one-and-done thing either, one needs to keep that shit maintained or it starts to fall apart (like Michael Jackson's face) and much like women who get breast implants... They start to really sag and look distorted over time because women don't usually keep dumping money on their breast to maintain them (because that shit is expensive).

South Korea is likely the reason why many Westerners think Asian men and women have extremely attractive faces even in their middle ages. Where a stereotypical view I have seen people share in the West is that Asian men and women don't start to show extreme signs of aging till they hit 55+. lol

The thing to understand is that the model for an attractive anime butt is not an average Japanese woman butt, but the butt of a junior idol. Anime girl butts are designed to look like those which are obviously not as big as possible

I have no clue why some people do what they do. lol

I have had cosmetic surgery on my face but it wasn't due to wanting to make my face look more beautiful or some shit like that. I was randomly assaulted when I was a teen in the early 90s due to some weird street gang initiation. I was basically jumped by a half a dozen dudes that dragged me into a back alley and started taking sucker punches to my face one by one and as hard as they could while being pinned against a brick wall. I had to get my jaw restructured back then and have a scar above my eye to this day. Even have a titanium plate in my skull because every time I was being hit my head was being rammed against the brick wall apparently splitting my head open.

If i didn't get my jaw once in a while maintained, the joints holding it together would have likely started to fall out of place. Just a few years ago I had to have it reconstructed again and even bi-yearly still have to see an endodontist for complications of the roots of my teeth occasionally getting infected.

But it's amazing what people can do with surgery these days... back in the 90s i still had to deal with pain from time to time when trying to eat food that wasn't soft. Till late 90s when new advancements seem to have come out of nowhere. The 2nd surgery I had in the late 90s basically made my jaw feel like new. After that I can eat shit like hard candy and not even flinch anymore.

But if one looks at me today, they wouldn't be able to tell anything was wrong, only visible scar on my face is a just right above my eye slashing through part of my eyebrow.

So you can see how that shit can be expensive too. Just the work done on my jaw, probably over 250,000+ USDs have been dumped into the reconstruction and maintenance over the years alone. And as time goes by and the older I get, it just gets more expensive. Thankfully I am not poor in the slightest. lol
