| @ethasgrover Artificial General Intelligence. It’s A.I. that can use reason and logic and think like a human. An example of a scenario of AGI making an anime series on its own: “Hey could you make a 12 episode anime series based on Ken Akamatsu’s manga A.I. Love you! ?” Then it would take however long to render it all. I don’t know how the distribution platform would be, maybe it would be a software suite you run on your desktop maybe it’ll be an app on your smart glasses. |
| But yes OP A.I. will be able to do what you described and infact it’ll be able to make live action shows too. Imagine this, in a decade you’ll be able to generate new episodes of Three’s Company even though John Ritter is long dead. The only thing holding this back is copyright and censorship. |

I think only a small portion of consumers genuinely like A.I. generated movies/shows/anime/cartoons/whatever (and they're usually older people or hyped-up tech bros), I think what is driving this big push for it is companies who bought into it looking to cut costs and thinking they could pump out slop into eternity. However, everyone just sees that it's frankly quite ugly-looking and just generally feels soulless. Plus, since A.I. for this kind of stuff is so new, it makes weird visual and audio mistakes that are a bit jarring. |
