I think Denji is implying that a normal life is not what makes him happy anymore, being chainsaw man however, is what fulfills him most, so he is no longer able to offer Nayuta a safe haven, where he saves up money so she can have a normal life. A normal life is not what his heart wants. He doesn't fight for justice nor for vengeance, he fights for the thrill. This Manga is completey about what Denji desires most, he has changed his wishes so often, but never really gotten it or liked it. The only thing that has never disappointed him, was fighting as Chainsaw Man.

| Denji has officially hit the "fuck it, we ball" stage, and I love it. 🤣 But seriously, all he ever wanted was a normal life. Once he got it, like any other human being, he started wanting more. That's precisely why Pochita asked him what his next dream was going to be. Though Denji did try to have a normal life and enjoy it with Nayuta, he wasn't really given that option. Now, he's just happy he got an excuse to be himself again. I don't think he told Nayuta that she shouldn't be around him anymore to keep her safe; probably, he doesn't want to influence her negatively. She's the 'control demon,' after all, and having a second Makima might not be a good idea. However, seeing Denji snapping and just going feral, eating his enemies and making use of his full abilities makes me wonder if that will make him numb again and allow Pochita to take control... |

CSM 's new made-up bull-sh!t power : CSM cuts himself into 2 clean pieces -> he drinks some blood of spear hybrid -> his body 's top half 's intestines can automatically connect to the bottom half -> his body become 1 whole piece again . |
