Avex Pictures opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Shizuki Fujisawa's Yuzuki-san Chi no Yonkyoudai. (Youth Story of a Family) on Friday, revealing the main staff and a teaser visual (pictured). The anime series will begin airing in Fall 2023.

Mitsuru Hongou (Honzuki no Gekokujou, World Trigger) is directing the television anime at animation studio Shuka (91 Days, Housekishou Richard-shi no Nazo Kantei). Orie Tanaka (Natsume Yuujinchou Go animation director, Fugou Keiji: Balance:Unlimited key animation) is serving as both the character designer and chief animation director.

Fujisawa began serializing the slice of life school manga in Betsucomi in August 2018, approximately four months after concluding Hatsu*Haru in the same magazine. Shogakukan published the 13th volume on January 26.

Yuzuki-san Chi no Yonkyoudai. won the 66th Shogakukan Manga Awards in the Shoujo division in 2021.

Synopsis
The Yuzuki family, which consists of four brothers, lost their parents two years ago. Hayato, the eldest son, is a hard worker and the pillar of the family. Mikoto, the second son, is calm and collected, but he has a soft spot for his younger brother Minato, whom he adores and thinks is cute. Minato, the third son, is energetic and adores his brothers, but he is clumsy and awkward. Gakuto, the fourth son, is a studious and mature first-grader who is often referred to as a "wise man." The manga depicts the four brothers' daily lives as they navigate their family, school, and community.

I can already see the weirdos discussing this every week in the episode discussion threads.

But other than that, the subject is interesting.

I don't want to sound harsh, but what's with this synopsis? There's no plot, or so it seems. What's this Sims the anime?
I've seen quite a lot of SoL anime, or at least I think so, but at least they had some plot devices and meaning behind them, so there was some progress with each episode. Again, I don't want to judge a book by its cover (it's not even begun airing but was just announced), but this seems to have none going solely by its premise. I probably won't watch it because I seriously doubt I would enjoy it. Congratulations to those who are into it nonetheless. Maybe it'll be an award-winning anime, and I'll eat my words. Who knows?
Before responding to my kind of jerk comment with another jerk comment, please consider that this is the first time I've seen such a weak premise, thus my surprise and frustration.
I couldn't help but write something about it. Sorry if I offended the fans of the source, it wasn't my intention.

Remember what Master Oogway told us:

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.

Yay! I'm excited, I really wasn't expecting this but I did buy the first tankoban, and it was super fluffy and cute. I loved the dynamics between all the characters, especially the brothers!

Okay, this is heartwarming and light-hearted story about four Brothers living together. They lost their parents two years before the manga beginning, if I remember correctly.
Together,  They have funny and happy moments, but sad ones and difficulties too. However, I love how they always face them together, as a real united family. Also, I like how the borthers brother have their own different personalities, but they love and deeply care about each other. Every brother is always there to support his brothers and puts them first in their lives.
since it's a slice of life. some people might think that the plot is boring. But it's actually a wholesome and adorable series that always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

well, there are 2 main supporting female characters (1 student and 1 policewoman), but I don't expect many people to watch it because there 4 brothers are the main characters and there is literally 0 fanservice.

To be honest, their loss. This is a pretty wholesome and fluffy series :D

You underestimate how much fanservice and romance people can find in even the purest of shows. Even if the author explicitly said that they don't have romance in the manga or that they always tried to portray an idealized platonic relationship.

I'm glad that the leaks are right... a new shoujo anime announcement, and one that doesn't seem to have romance unlike the stereotype on top of that.

Interesting... never heard of the series before, I'll wait for a PV before I think about watching it though

I love shoujo but I personally don't see the appeal in this one, it just sounds really boring honestly and the synopsis doesn't tell me much, I feel like there are much better manga in the Betsucomi library that could have been adapted to anime, like a Queen's Quality or Sand Chronicles anime would be amazing, this one just seems like such a random choice to adapt
