| ok that was really cool! Finally a 'mainstream' anime that is very edgy and shows gore. On the other hand, Pochita is so kawaii UwU CGI Denji was a bit jarring but overall I'm hooked! |

| The more I think about it the more I realize how strange it is to see these characters and the world they inhabit animated for the first time, even knowing them for just two years at best (which seems a lot longer, on top of that) Crazy thing is that it's not even nothing new: reading manga you like and seeing it made into anime a couple of years down the line has been the norm since, well, forever basically, so this feeling shouldn't be so unusual as it feels seeing this first episode. I guess most of it has to do with the fact that I grew so used to reading manga after watching the anime that I kind of forgot how it feels to go the usual route, and Chainsaw Man ended up being the first series in a long time that put me back on this track. Which adds a lot to the novelty of finally getting to watch this adaptation, I believe. You could say most of the magic surrounding Chainsaw Man and its step towards animation is how unusual the whole experience is even in the most basic sense, like this one. |

| There was so much shitty CGI. I thought this was going to surpass Jujutsu Kaisen in looks but it didn't, at all. The animation was fluid but hot damn that CGI looked BAD. There was also too much edge. "Hug me," followed with a hug. Cringe. Bleach looked MUCH better than this. |

| What a start and what an end! Holy hell, Denji's life sucked so hard, and yeah he also never tried to grow but it is what it is. Such a great ending, my man's just hungry! This is gonna be epic! |

| The animation was kinda iffy in the action scenes and everything felt so corny to watch but hey, even though I aint like this much, think its better than a lot of the other stuff MAPPA been doing recently. Best part of the episode was the movie references in the op. Shoutout to Pulp Fiction, now thats peak right there. |

| To anyone worried about CGI: episode 1 featured a horde of zombies/enemies which made it extremely hard for the animators to work because they had to draw so many people at once, that's why they were forced to abuse CGI. After this episode, there won't be any more horde of monsters or zombies, which means Mappa animators can focus more on hand-drawing Chainsaw Man. We probably won't get as many CGI CSM scenes in the future anymore. CGI haters can calm down. |

| I loved it so much! The animation is so cool and the music really fits the show! I love the gore also and that they chose to not censor it. I can’t wait to see the rest of the show animated because i loved the manga a lot, can’t wait to see more of it! This show definitely deserves the hype it’s getting. |
