Danganronpa, though it was a game series first then anime. But literally 90% of the fandom are teenagers who only care about simping for or shipping characters or making OCs, and that's it. I've seen a lot of people who actually hate all the violence and gore, the sexual stuff, and even the cussing in the series. Like, I just can't even comprehend how did the fandom for a game that tries to be edgey turn into a bunch of children screaming at you if you dare talk about something edgey from the game.

Certain fandoms being toxic is an illusion. People are just generally shitty and stupid. I have never interacted with the fandom of a show, or anything really, that I like and not regretted it.

Agreed, people only compare one anime to another it makes fandom shitty. Why don't they enjoy every anime, there is no need to compare one anime to another.

It's just one group of people pointing fingers at another, but yeah AoT addicts/groupies/fans whatever you call 'em... are pretty much clueless to any other anime, except AoT.

SnK and BNHA have the loudest groupies though.

I'm not trying to rag on them, but there's a specific poster who is extremely passionate about AoT and Levi Ackerman.

I'll leave it at that, but just anyone else they'll say their peace and so on.

What got me though, was the science paper essay they did on Levi and it was quite impressive, I still have yet to finish it's entirety, but I can respect the energy of how passionate they are.

Maybe it's their age as well with the toxic users, even I'm guilty of 'toxicity', everyone has a bad day.

There's been alot of users I've had 'chats' with and there's all kinds of fans out there, some that love even a shorter unknown series and if you question why they do or don't, then it's like instantly nuclear explosion.

Others will nit pick the hell out of it and it becomes like a UN debate, or something more to a boxing match at times, which I find the most amusing.

Personally, I'm still trying to find good examples of trash anime, there's bad/boring or any other number of reasons I've heard to define an anime's trashiness be it art, plot, changes from whatever it's source.

Every anime which has a huge fanbase and is discussed almost all the time. You can see fanboys everywhere. I think I've seen toxic fans of almost all popular anime. Gintama, One Piece, AOT, Monogatari, Naruto, NGE, HxH etc. These are just examples. Meanwhile, you have a lower chance of encountering fanboys of shows which are no longer discussed for e.g, Mob Psycho 100.

A lot of niche anime usually get pretty tight communities. It's the mainstream ones, as the post above me said, that get the toxicity flowing because of all the different opinions.

Attack on Titan, Evangelion, and One Piece come to mind immediately. With Evangelion it's elitists, with One Piece it's the weekly whining about new chapters not meeting their expectations, and with Attack on Titan it's literally everything that can be annoying about a fanbase.

Don't need to. But I used to read the dictionary for fun. I also teach kids English. Anaphora...Anadiplosis, epizeuxis, zeugma, epistrophe, polysyndeton, elliptical constructions...

Attack on Titan and H X H do not have literary value. Hardly something that would win a Nobel Prize.

But, i still don't understand what's the point of bragging about your academics achievement on a platform where we discuss about art. It's not that if you are good at one field it will make you better understanding of other. Remember I'm not talking about any specific anime ,but art in general.
