Ranma is homophobic and tried to "cure" a lesbian. He failed.

Episode 11 of Macross- "First Contact"
Three humans (two men, one woman) get trapped by an gigantic enemy alien. These aliens have two genders, however those two genders are heavily segregated. Because how can you wage war, if you're busy making love?

Essentially, the enemy alien asks the hostages to explain "how humans are made", including kissing (u>3<). The alien initially asks the two men to kiss (remember heavily gender-segregated society). Hikaru is like "Give me a break! Two guys can't do that!". Then, the woman (who is also the second love interest and his superior lmao) volunteers to kiss Hikaru instead. Because even under the threat of death, Hikaru is a stringent follower of "no homo". Now that's some culture!

Anyway, Hikaru Ichijyo from Super Dimension Fortress Macross is a confirmed homophobe!
