Good evening, everyone. ✩
I don't do this very often, but I have decided to open up a recommendation request right now, because I'm interested in something and there doesn't seem to be much of it from what I can find. I even checked an older thread related to this interest to see if I could find out any titles I haven't heard of before, but even that thread didn't really have that many recommendations in the replies. So I turn to all of you for help.

Do you know of any anime/manga that has anything about flowers and/or flower language in it?

I like looking up information about flowers and sometimes take pictures of whatever flower I happen to find when I go outside. I especially find it interesting when I learn about flowers that aren't really talked about or whatever, and I love seeing drawn pictures of flowers—maybe it's because shoujo manga has those all over the place for some panels and I grew up with that type of manga lol. I would love to see more flowers in more anime/manga, but I don't think I really know that many anime/manga that is mainly about flowers or flower language... or even just anime/manga where the story heavily involves a flower, or with flower theming/motifs within the story or naming of certain characters... you know, stuff like that. It's okay if you don't really know anything that is solely about flowers or anything like that. You can just recommend something where flowers are somewhat important in a way where you can't really remove them out of the story, or just features flowers a lot for stuff like the background scenery and in the opening/end credits animation.
You can even recommend something if they randomly put flowers appear alongside characters for situations such as the picture below lol:

(This is a very pretty shot, by the way. Love the art nouveau style they went with the floral imagery here, more like this please.)

✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶

Before you recommend me something, please read the following:

Here are some stuff that I like and some stuff I don't really care for:
+ Magical girl
+ Iyashikei
+ Character development
+ Coming-of-age stories would be nice
+ I do not mind children's anime/manga
+ I do not mind recommendations tackling heavier topics (e.g. depression, suicide, divorce, etc.)
+ Preferably finished/complete series

- No NSFW/Ecchi/Harem (sorry, I'm just not into sexual content)
- No incest or age-gap relationships, please
- I don't really want Isekai titles, but I might make exceptions if the recommendation is actually good and has this theme
- Not really into overpowered main characters, but again I might make exceptions

You don't really have to make sure that some/all of the positives are in your recommendation, but these are like bonus points for me. Just focus on something that is relevant to what I'm asking for that you genuinely think was interesting/good enough to recommend.

Obviously, please check my anime list and my manga list so that you don't accidentally recommend me something I have already seen... I'd prefer that you give me recommendations that I am not all that aware of, but feel free to pick something out of my Plan To Watch list if you really want to emphasize that I should check it out ASAP or something. However, if you're too lazy to check out my ratings, here are some stuff that I am already aware of so you might not want to recommend these. I've also included some brief thoughts about them, in case you're interested to know what I like about them or something—if it helps with deciding on recommendations.

✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶ ⋆ ✶

tl;dr: I want to see more flowers in anime/manga. Please give me recommendations that has more of them, whether if the story's all about flowers (or something related, like gardening and flower language), if the show has flower motifs somewhere, or even if it's just simply known for some pretty floral backgrounds. Though I am definitely looking for more of the first two suggestions. I don't mind just seeing floral scenery though. Thank you for reading, I am looking forward to what you will all recommend!!

A lot of flower language isn't, sadly, spelled out in anime. Red spider lilies are associated with death and cherry blossoms have a double meaning as it's also an indicator for spring (like the flashback scene in Kimi ni Todoke or the scene in Hyouka). Even in Weiss Kreuz, they're florists but the only time flower language plays a role is in the OVA.

@kalbimsic

In both shows the protagonists have floral motifs.

I don't know if you read the entire post, but she clearly says that it's not necessary for the recommendation to comply with all that she asks for. And with regard to Oresuki I made the respective warning that I did not know if she would like it :)

The most flowery anime I've seen happens to be one I hate very much.
https://myanimelist.net/anime/13585/Natsuyuki_Rendezvous

It's entirely unlike the rest of your list, but the characters of this anime use an iron fleur-de-lis as their logo.

The only other titles I can think to recommend are those I recommended in the past.

Ah, I've heard of both 5cm and The Flowers of Evil before, I will consider giving them a try sometime.

That's a shame... I plan on checking Hyouka sometime though, thanks for the reminder.

Ah yes, I have heard of both of those. I love the MAL picture for Hanayamata, and I believe I have the original manga in my PTR list, but I don't know if I will give that a read anytime soon... I guess I'll try the anime first then. I don't really understand the appeal of the harem genre, but I guess I will consider giving Oresuki a try and see if it's actually decent for myself someday. The glasses girl with braids looks really cute anyway lol.

That first one does seem like something I might end up disliking (based off the synopsis and the large amount of user recommendations between it and AnoHana), but I will consider giving it a try anyway and see if there's anything decent about it.

Ah yes, the ever popular Gundam franchise...
Do you recommend that I start with this one in particular or is there another iteration that you think I'd be better starting off with?

Ah, I have heard of each of these three, but did not know if it actually had any kind of flowery content. Heard lots of great things about Candy Candy in particular and I did like another work that Rozen Maiden's creators made (Shugo Chara!). Thank you, I will add these to my lists right away.

I would say it's best to start with the 1st Gundam, if only because it's the most influential. It otherwise doesn't matter, as the various spinoffs have very little to do with one another.
Though I've only seen the full series, I hear good things about the trilogy of recap movies.

Ah yes, Snow White with the Red Hair... that one's been recommended to me a lot, I guess I should have included that in that list of "stuff I'm aware of" but I somehow forgot to mention it. Thank you for the recommendation though, I'll be sure to look into it.

I thought of a few more examples.

One of the protagonists of the original Digimon anime has a plant digimon. Though Mimi is among the least important protagonists, she and her digimon appear in nearly every episode. The 5th series has a similar character, but she is considered poorly written.
https://myanimelist.net/character/9951/Palmon
https://myanimelist.net/character/4952/Lalamon

Though it's technically neither an anime nor a manga, rumors of a legendary flower play an important role in the story of 7'scarlet. The visual novel is available for PS Vita and Windows PC.

Yurikuma Arashi - made by the same person who made Utena, so it has a lot of symbolisms, especially the lily flowers is very prominent in the show.

The still ongoing Wonder Egg Priority - also an anime with symbolisms including flower language. One example, the MC is referred as a sunflower once iirc. It touches upon heavy topics.

Ah this is right, I failed to mention it does explore sexuality. Though I personally thought the presentation wasn't bad/differ from how sexual scenes in ecchi shows are.

Hey, it's been a while, but I just want to tell you that I actually bought a DVD copy of Hanayamata a while ago! I just started watching it today and finished the first episode some hour ago... and it was great!

It's pretty much the kind of thing I like to see more in anime in general, not just within the type of flower anime I'm looking for. The animation looked great and it was colorful in the same way as Madoka Magica was at times, which is always a good thing in my eyes. Thank you so much again for your recommendation, maybe I'll send you another reply with my thoughts after I finish watching it if you're interested?

Heartcatch Pretty Cure - heart flowers and flower symbolism are a major theme in this show. All the cures also have flower motifs.

Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de aru - flower motifs from different species are used for each of the lead characters, and flowers also serve an important symbolic purpose in the narrative.

Lesser instances:

The Price of Smiles - sunflowers are a prominent symbol and serve as a metaphor.

Celestial Method - sunflowers are prominently featured in some shots here.

Kowarekake no Orgel - one main character is named "Flower", because she is found holding a flower. Aside from this there isn't much flower symbolism.

Eureka Seven - one prominent character is named Anemone, probably after the flower. There's also a noteworthy scene involving her and flowers.

Kiddy Grade - there are a few scenes with strong relevance to the story in a mid-series episode involving a girl who offers the lead character some flowers.

Sailor Moon - Tuxedo Mask. 'Nuff said.

Ms. Vampire who lives in my neighborhood. - a very weak example, but the opening theme's animation seems to like flowers.

Planetarian - technically not even an example, but it's noteworthy that the "bouquet" is actually made up of various electronic components.
Avatar character is Gabriel from Gabriel DropOut.

I finished Hanayamata last week, I was not expecting to be THIS impressed with it!
What a lovely show with its fair share of moderate feels, I appreciate the character development too and how each girl was symbolized with their own flower! And I had never heard of yosakoi dancing before, but now I feel so much more excited to dance whenever I play the opening! I admit I can't remember the BGM all that well but it was great and so was the OP and ED songs! Still not sure if it's a new favorite for me but I can't help but give it a 9/10 anyway XP
Thank you so much once more!!

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but you should check out Maria-Sama Ga Miteru (Maria Watches Over us). The characters specifically the Student Council Members have different types of Roses associated with them. There's nice backgrounds as the school campus is pretty beautiful, there's also a greenhouse that is the backdrop to many scenes. It's more of a Yuri or Class S series, I promise you there's not really any sexualization of characters or relationships as it focuses more on the bond between the girls than anything else.

For further suggestions: do you consider meaningful Sakura/Sakura-episodes? Plenty of anime have these!

OH, I just remembered: Noragami Aragoto has a minor character with a connection to flowers including a backstory and his story is the main thing explored in the first couple of episodes - so you don't have to watch the entire show, just put on the first few episodes - you get introduced right in the second half of the first episode.

Do you mean stuff like hanami/flower viewing episodes and/or series revolved around cherry blossoms? I do!

I just didn't mention it because cherry blossoms are just as common as roses in Japanese media.

Oh, that's good news, because there seem to be quite a few hanami episodes in anime!

There's even a featured article on MAL.

And Noragami, which I mentioned earlier, has an OVA with a hanami celebration too.

https://myanimelist.net/manga/118737/Her_Tale_of_Shim_Chong in some of the earlier chapters, flowers/flower selecting/flower arranging hold a lot of symbolism.  and in another chapter later on you get a backflash of the madam having to learn flower arrangement. plus its a full color manhwa so its pretty to look at.
its shoujo ai but it doesnt really get sexual, it stays pretty clean between mcs, there is definetly heavy topics it goes through though. (depression/suicide/sexism during a historical period etc) it is completed and the characters do grow over time.

https://myanimelist.net/anime/205/Samurai_Champloo theres some focus on flowers in samurai champloo, as one of the three is seeking out a samurai who smells of sunflowers, the ending theme featuring her is a very pretty song showcasing some flower imagery. i cant remember if it was a consistent theme in the show as its been awhile.

https://myanimelist.net/anime/33352/Violet_Evergarden i feel like i remember there being various flower symbolism here and there in the series.

Oh, I see Gourmet Girl Graffiti is in the article... that's an anime I've been considering buying for a bit of a while now...

I never got around to watch this show, but maybe Hana no Mahoutsukai Mary bell? Is about a kid magical girl with flower powers.

I've heard some people say that Wonder Egg Priority used a fair amount of flower lenguage. The anime is prett good, but you might be dissapointed with the ending. It's still worth the watch though, I think.
