 Today is January 7, 2021... ...which marks 10 years since Puella Magi Madoka Magica first broadcast in Japan. There is a brand new website to mark this anniversary: https://10th.madoka-magica.com/ The first news post I could find on the site is this: https://10th.madoka-magica.com/news/?article_id=56036 The site also includes a brand new illustration of Madoka Kaname, which is just so beautiful! Does anyone know if this new site will announce anything special? Will anything brand new come out for the franchise? (Maybe a Rebellion sequel...?) Feel free to either discuss about this brand new site and what it might offer, or just express your appreciation for this masterpiece of an anime ♥ |

| Am I the only one who hate this anime? I only watched six episodes back in 2014 and man I felt disgusted for what I watched. What Gen Urobuchi and studio Shaft did to the magical girl genre was sacrilegious. What the infamous Madoka Magica did to the anime industry is nothing more than tainted and ruin the good reputation of the magical girl genre that magical girl anime shows like Sailor Moon work so hard to achieve. |

| Sorry, pretty late on reporting this, but it seems that there will be a 10th anniversary collection of the three Madoka Magica movies released later this April!! https://10th.madoka-magica.com/news/?article_id=56382 https://10th.madoka-magica.com/box/ Sadly it's only Blu-Ray with no DVD release in sight, but I guess I should have expected as much. It was about time they put all three movies together in one package though. I hope it gets released outside of Japan as well, I can't find any of the movies anywhere these days except for maybe the 1st one. Can't wait to see what the promotional art for this collection will look like. ♥ |

| Well, we got this creditless OP on YouTube now, shame the quality (especially the audio) isn't very good. Edit: They uploaded a creditless ED too. Edit 2: Now they uploaded the creditless OP from Movie 1, we can expect the rest at this point. It would be fitting if they announced something after all of these OP/EDs, it's getting close to 10 years since episode 12 aired. Edit 3: Magia quattro version this week. Edit 4: Rebellion OP. Really sets the mood seeing this without interrupting text. Edit 5: (Probably) lastly, the Rebellion ED. Another weekly upload would be after the planned anniversary event, so unless something new and big is happening this will probably it (unless they upload creditless Magia Record stuff, heh). Oh yeah, all of these are apparently going to be taken down in June so download them while you still can. |

| I can't believe the series is 10 years old now, what with the burgeoning accessibility of anime and increasing reach and interest in the West at that time, this was a very formative experience for so many people. What a great series for people to see just to show what anime really can do. Can't believe it's been 10 years, it doesn't feel that old. But I guess one really can't call it new.
