Hey I'm fushiro. I like shows that focus on storytelling and atmosphere the most,
and I'm working on eventually watching every significant anime. Whatever that means.
I don't talk much unless I get excited about something. I accept all friend requests.
I run a small Anime/Manga Art Blog, check it out (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
Recommendations (Depending on genre/mood you want. PM for more in-depth recs): Kaiba | Made in Abyss | Higurashi | TokyoGhoul | Evangelion | InitialD | High Score Girl | JoJo | Big O | Mushishi
This is MAL, so lemme talk about my list.
I don't marked dropped because I don't like to and they mess with my analytics.
But I almost always finish a show I continue after episode 1.
I try to keep a discerning eye for what I think is worth watching. Speaking of...
≤4: Disappointing, boring, unnecessary, poor taste, etc. The lower the rating, the less redeemable qualities. ≥5: Worth watching for its length. Time not wasted, but perhaps better spent elsewhere. ≥8: Great show, recommend if it fits what you're looking for. 10: Closest to what I look for, not better than 9's or 8's, just what I get into the most.
I don't like using "perfect" for any show, I feel like that's a failure in critique on my end. But to not use 10's on this site's scale would deny what The People care about, which is what you think is the best. So my 10's are the kind of shows that get me most excited for anime, and remind me why I keep looking for more. Though they're not perfect, if a show is a 10 on my list, then you know there is a damn good reason.
And I do go back and re-evaluate my scores. I'll change them up or down a number if I feel it hasn't aged well with me, or if I've learned to appreciate the series better, or if my tastes change. But only if I remember how the show affected me well enough. Though if it turned out to be pretty forgettable, maybe it shouldn't be so high after all :thinking emoji:
