| I heard a lot about this anime. I want to watch it but it is very old. So is it worth it? Is it that good? Or maybe it is outdated? Is it better than modern shonens? Or it hits different? |

| I've only seen the first Dragon Ball and I'm almost through with Z and I would say the first one is far superior to Z as it has better pacing and actual story to tell. |

| It's overrated to be honest. It has poor world building, and characters are mostly two dimensional. If you are going to watch it, watch up to the Cell Saga then drop it. Everything that comes after isn't worth it really. |

| I watched Dragonball, DBZ, DB and DB Kai last year because I always wanted to complete the big three + db and I have to say it was worth it. It's obvious that it isn't something really amazing but if you like Shounen like me, you will definitely enjoy it |

| Yes it's one of my favorite anime. Incredibly fun watch. GT and most of the films aren't worth it imo but super's pretty good. |

This is, 13.5% of all the run. Yeap... soooo "full of filler" Z alone has 291 episodes. Kai has 159. That's at least 132 episodes of filler, even without counting the episodes that came before Z. |

For me it's obvious that DB isn't that amazing because it has many flaws. But as I said, it's still really enjoyable. | DB(Or what I like to call Goku's Bizarre Adventure) was an great anime. It had it flaws but the sheer randomness and entertainment you got from it outweighed it. It isn't an masterpiece, but it's definitely something to watch. DBZ, while being more grounded than DB, continued the story of Goku and the Z-Warriors. DBZ was also an great anime, one of the best shounen out there. It suffers from pacing issues and overly amount of screaming and random camera cuts, but the adventure from Kid Goku to the Frieza saga, and then his son development in the Cell saga is nothing short of spectacular. If you're a fan of shounen anime, I would recommend it. It's a solid 8.5/10 for me. |

| I honestly would only recommend Dragon Ball to anyone as a starter anime. I feel like a lot of modern anime watchers would have a very hard time staying committed to Dragon Ball because of 1.) the age and 2.) how atrociously long it is. Go for it if you aren't the type to bore easily, but you've been warned. |
| In terms of adventure it has more to offer than any modern shounen I can think of. It has great comedic timing and the gags don't feel like a scene from a completely different series. If you like binge watching and martial arts with a bit of super powers then you're good to go. |

| For sure! Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z are fantastic. I wouldn't recommend watching Dragon Ball Kai despite the episode amount being half the size, the Faulconer track and Funimation dub is something special Dragon Ball Z has that Kai doesn't. Enjoy the ride! |
