| The top reasons in my opinion: 1. Not many people really watch hentai. 2. Mostly that watch it, is only for the sex scenes (not plot/story). 3. A good portion of hentai is just sex with little other than that, so is not much you can talk about. 4. Usually porn/hentai isn't talk about much, they're made to satisfy/please the viewer and nothing more. Personally I'm not a big fan, but I watched them sometimes (I have periods when I watched exclusively hentai and others, when I don't watched them at all). I really think hentai can be a media that is capable of telling good and compelling stories, but because of the age restriction and their very nature, they're very hard to market, so is almost impossible to make them popular and profitable, and in the end, because of this and a smaller budget, they're forced to produce stuff appealing for the fans, and can't branch out to garner a bigger audience. |

| @SadAkko Well again the community is small. I rarely watch hentai and a lot of dojins that I like aren't on MAL at all. There isn't a place to discuss them on here. MAL is best for SFW anime and manga discussion for the most part there are other communities that are better to discussing NSFW content. Plus honestly out of exceptions there isn't a lot people will add to a discussion of hentai. I have had a few good conversations on stuff like that but not here and honestly not even in most communities dedicated to hentai or whatever sexual fetish/vanilla content. |

| cus people dont like hentai I guess, here's what I'm guessing what some people are saying 1. "Bcus hentai is for VIRGINS!!" 2. "Bcus im not horny" 3. "I just dont like it much as normal anime" (seriously, most people who watch anime probably don't watch hentai) 4. a million other reasons also much as I love that girl, Maken-ki 2 was the first time that I was actively disappointed in an anime sequel. There was so much potential from the first season. @SideTiePanties this too. Doujin are way better imo |
