So I just picked up a hoodie off my bedroom floor and a pretty sizeable daddy long legs spider came flying off it and landed on my bed. I back handed that eight legged monster off my bed and then smashed her head into the floor with the bottom of a mug. But that got me to thinking. I'm glad I live in the UK where the worst spiders we get are the wolf spider I would hate to have found something like a tarantula crawling around my clothes. So anyway, what are the worst spiders you have in your country? Ever have any bad experiences with them? Are you one of those weirdos who actually likes spiders? Feel free to post your nasty spider pics to gross out the arachnophobes. |

There is a beast called the house spider that fucks with me every day. They always sit in the corners and watch me, waiting for me to sleep so they can lay their eggs and create more evil spawns. I wouldn't mind, until they hang from the ceiling and I walk into them, face first and have a heart attack. If you were typing and a little bitch just plopped on your keyboard, what would you do? Btw I had to buy a new keyboard recently. |

Living in Norway is great, because the biggest spiders are the size of raisins. I'm not scared of them, but I get really annoyed when they're inside the house, and I dispose of them as quickly as I can. I'm kinda fascinated by them, and I like them when they're outside, but when they have the nerve to trespass on my territory, they're gonna get fucked up. |

living in malaysia, there's almost no spiders here. there's only ones that are suuuuper small, probably the size of a house fly. unfortunately, we have gross ass lizards instead |

Here in my area we get tarantula's. Though I don't see them that often thankfully. For bad experiences... One time on the 4th of July a tarantula would've crawled on my leg if someone didn't point it out. And when we first moved into our house several years ago, a Black-Widow crawled out of this metal covering below the faucet of our bathtub while I was taking a bath. |

Live in the southeast us and probably the scariest spider experience was seeing a black widow crawl next to my hand while working on the sprinkler system... it's like staring pain or even death in the face yaknow, spoopy |

So anyway, what are the worst spiders you have in your country? Black widow and wolf spider, most likely. Ever have any bad experiences with them? No, they are not commonly seen. Not to mention Yaoi and outside do not mix. Are you one of those weirdos who actually likes spiders? Yes, I find them to be cute. Particularly the smaller ones. |

Funnily enough I had a dream this morning I almost walked into a golden orb's web with him in there but either way, I live in Australia so we don't really have any bad spiders, though I'll always stomp on a white tip or a redback any day of the week. |

Did you know, aside from the spider's unpredictable movements, we're also afraid of spiders because they were a big threat to our ancestors? |

Never seen any big or poisonous spiders here. I saw a spider just hanging out in my bathroom the other day, but I leave it alone since it always stays in the same spot and spiders are good for keeping other bugs away. |

Not sure which are the worst spiders in my country but house spiders already get me freaked out so I really don't want to find out about the more big and dangerous ones. I'm scared of all insects but house spiders are 'relatively' slow compared to some other stuff i've seen, so they're easier to kill. On the days when i'm less courageous, I just run the other way. I'll pretend they don't exist if I can't see them. |

Damn, Tomoko. You showed that spider who's boss. Better hope her babies don't want vengeance. ;) I usually see spiders outside my house sitting in their webs and I occasionally poke around, and irritate the spiders. They are usually small and harmless, I think. The webs are so annoying though, I get caught in them everywhere I go. I guess that's how they get me back for being an asshole to them. |

Where I live in the United States, spiders are pretty small. The largest I have ever seen was like the size of a quarter. I'm thankful for that, lol. |

I thought Australia has the worst kinds of Spider: big, full of deadly venom and horrifying. The spiders here in germany are relatively small :) I used to collect them with a friend back when were little. The jumping spiders are particularly cute how they move their heads and such :] That said if I find one of these in my room, then I show no mercy :/ out or put them in my sisters room lol |

But honestly we don't really see too many big spiders, majority of them were no bigger than the palm of my hand. Don't get me wrong there's big spiders, but in australia it's pretty dry n shit, so you don't really get as big spiders as you would in QLD of australia up near the tropical areas.Turnip said: Funnily enough I had a dream this morning I almost walked into a golden orb's web with him in there but either way, I live in Australia so we don't really have any bad spiders, though I'll always stomp on a white tip or a redback any day of the week. Wolf spiders are often in the bathroom during a rainstorm, but they aren't the large ones they're small, but the garden spiders are huge and live in the trees save for the evergreen trees. |

I don't have a problem with spiders. I always check under my sun visor before I drive anywhere though because the Huntsman spiders we have here are really good at contorting their body through car doors, and if they drop down on you while you're on the highway or something you'll probably shit yourself and crash. schpoiders. |

Not many spiders around here, lots of cockroaches though, I hated them as a child, but when we moved out of the house and got a room for myself alone, every time I woke up at night there would always be cockroaches in the floor, so I started to step on them and lost the fear. |

I don't like spiders. The biggest one in Poland is Bagnik nadwodny (Dolomedes plantarius): So it's not that bad. I met this one only once. It's not the ugliest one, but size made me really uncomfortable. I was with my grandma at that time and she fucking caressed this thing. Apparently its fur is nice and soft. I'd say spiders are interesting or maybe even fascinating. I envy people who like them or at least aren't turned off by their looks. |

I used to let daddy long legs walk on my hand as a kid. They are harmless and not at all scary. I find them cute along with those little ity bitty tiny green or white ones. Wait you have wolf spiders too? Fuck I thought I could escape them there. Those fuckers run fast and a few times ran for me. As far as deadly spiders there is brown recluse and black widows. I once saw a massive spider the body size of a golf ball on my lawn but Im not sure if it was real or if i hallucinated it because it seemed like it disappeared and I couldnt identify it with any spiders in my area. I stopped killing bugs a few years ago. I capture them with a cup or a vase and cardboard to slide under it. I even catch hornets that way. |

Over here we luckily don't have any poisonous or giant spiders. Though have had a creepy encounter with a house spider. They're roughly 2 or 3 inches in size, which to me, is huge D: Any spider larger than half an inch freaks me out. The only place I'm brave enough to go near a spider or tarantula is in Animal Crossing New Leaf... So.. I recall just casually working on some video late at night, I believe it was like.. 1 am or something. And.. Out of the corner of my eye I spot something on the floor. At first I though it was just some dust (I wasn't wearing my glasses so I couldn't see properly), so I didn't really care much. But then, out of no where, I see this bit of "dust" dart across the floor, vanishing underneath a cabinet. So.. I grabbed a flashlight, shone it underneath the cabinet and saw this large, gross house spider backed up towards the wall. I freaked out so much. I also got spooked really bad by a daddy long legs this one time. I was just casually laying in bed, doing some stuff on my phone before going to sleep. While doing this, I noticed something slowly passing in front of my face. Initially I thought it was just one of my hair strands. When my eyes focussend on the thin thing though, I realised it was a spider. Only centimeters away from my face. I jumped back and immediately switched on the lights and tried killing the thing. Oww yeah and last spider experience I want to share only happened to me like.. A few days ago. I was lunching outside, nomming on some sandwiches I made, when all of a sudden I see something coming towards me from our walnut tree. Initially I thought it was just a bee, as it had a bit of a brownish colour. However, as it landed on my shoulder, crawled down my left arm, ran across the table and climbed up another tree again, I realised it was a cross spider. It probably was in a hurry to get from one tree or another but ugh.. It spooked me quite a lot.... |
