| I have got drunk in every single country on planet earth including on the moon and I will categorically state here and now that the worst beer in the world is called pacena and it is brewed in bolivia. I was as thirsty as an absolute dog one night in LaPaz and decided to go out for a few beers to the only english style bar in town, i was hoping to catch an english premier league game on tv. The barman told me a mas (we call them steins, a 1ltr mug) of pacena was about $4 asm opposed to the heineken which was $10 so i thought mmmm pacena we'll give that a crack i think, well fuck me if i didn't take one sip and nearly retch and people I am a bloke that loves my beer trust me, but this shit was goat semen. I thought it might've got a bad bit so i gave it another go and went another gulp. Nope, it was worse than the first sip. I took the beer back up to the bar and politely asked for it to be poured down the sink where it should be, and can i please have a heineken. The barman was offended but i didn't give a damn, it wasn't my time to die just yet and i wasn't going to risk it by drinking that utter crap. Just friendly word of warning for you beerhounds, do NOT drink pacena. It is terrible. Where most beers use highland spring water thes motherfuckers use sewerage with puss from a thousand pimples and sweat from a million dogs balls. honourable mentions: sing Dao from China. Cheapest beer you can buy in Singapore... where a pint of regular beer in a pub will set you back $13.50. Tsing Dao is about $2 a can and tastes okay on the night - but the wind you get the next day is not pleasant, and the hangovers are particularly nasty. Southwark. Anything by Southwark (except the Premium) is vile stuff Two words - Taiwan Beer SPEIGHTS, courtesy of NZ. Tastes like absolute crap. Had a mouthful, made the mistake of swallowing it rather than spitting it out (the taste buds were screaming for me not to do it). Imagine crossing Sarsparilla with Melbourne Bitter. Speights is a asshole drink. For NZ beer, TUI, is a good buy last but not least I once made a homebrew lager that was so bad I tipped it on the roses and killed them. |

| When it comes to beer I feel like I can drink most things, I don't think I've ever had anything that bad tbh but I've been to festivals where you take your own cans of beer (here it's usually Fosters or Carling) which by the time it's warm and flat after being transported, you might as well get your cat to piss in an empty tin. There's a bit of thing going on here with craft beers that are mainly heavily citrus flavoured, some of them are utter and complete shite, but some are good. There's a couple of grapefruit ones that I like, Brewdog Elvis juice and Magic Rock high wire grapefruit are belters, the latter is from a local brewery though so I don't know how easy it is to get it. |

Although too be honest, if you just chilled your fucking beer to as cold as possible when serving something terrible you at least wouldn't taste it as well so it wouldn't be as bad (you should do this with Heineken too) |

| I've had some pretty crap English micro-brewery IPAs. But the worst beer I've ever had is Tesco value light beer. 2%. Tasteless, but with a lingering feel of grease and shame. One pound for 10 cans. The backwash of saliva left at the bottom of the can is genuinely a more fulfilling drink. Holy crap that stuff was bad. |

Yeah I'd admit westend isn't that great in taste but it fucks you up quick. Also you don't get those shitty lil twelvies asking for drinks off ya when you're at a party because if you do, you'll find half a dozen of the half drunk cans littered throughout the property. But I don't like ale's at all I'd prefer a lager over an ale, especially a pale ale 🤢 |

| I am too lazy to read all the responses to this thread so I am going to just post my favorite, and worst favorite My favorite right now is Guinness Draught (think that is the name, too lazy to look at the empty case) As it's really smooth to me easy to get down fast. My least favorite was my first Icehouse, my stepdad handed me one of his Icehouse beer, it was pure garbage tasting, Rolling Rock is a good 2nd, but Rolling Rock is aesthetically pleasing to me. |
