We have Coquelicot-zaka kara with it and that was set in the 1960s. I have added the tag to the anime. You should make manga requests in the corresponding thread. (I do not have the ability to edit manga pages.) Vampire Hunter D apparently received a limited theatrical run around the time of the home release, so let me look into that more. Based on this, the 2000 film entry may or may not receive a name change. gwennie-chan said: http://myanimelist.net/anime/9934/Nekogami_Yaoyorozu +genre: shoujo-ai There's tons of it between main characters. Yes, that's the conclusion that @Fennoah and I reached. We just want to distinguish works with implied, subtextual, or otherwise unimportant gayness from works wherein it is a major or recurring theme. An example I gave was that Love Live! could be perceived as shoujo ai because the main cast is so openly loving, but it's clearly not the point of the show. |

The "Background" for When They Cry S1 needs to be corrected a bit. http://myanimelist.net/anime/934/Higurashi_no_Naku_Koro_ni Geneon Universal Entertainment didn't license the show, Geneon Entertainment USA (which is not in the MAL database and needs to be added so Geneon Japan isn't wrongly listed as a licensor instead of as a producer) did. Geneon USA died before Geneon Japan merged with Universal Pictures Japan to form Geneon Universal Entertainment (later changing the name to NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan). FUNimation also didn't license the show, they distributed it for Geneon, as seen with "Distributed by FUNimation" on the back covers. http://imgs.dvdempire.com/products/19/1522119bh.jpg Some other examples of "Distributed by FUNimation": http://imgs.dvdempire.com/products/79/1484279bh.jpg (they did later outright license this show after Geneon USA's license expired) http://imgs.dvdempire.com/products/05/1423805bh.jpg http://imgs.dvdempire.com/products/88/1490488bh.jpg |

Should compile a list of these, if that's what you want to do, since these have been always been marked as Special I'm not sure if you actually want to go with OVA for these by just calling the Jump Festa screening a pre-screening like how it happens for TV series. Also, weren't these http://myanimelist.net/anime/31234/ http://myanimelist.net/anime/31138/ Going to have their dates changed to the BD releases? September 16, 2015 to February 17, 2016 for Umaru. I've noticed that http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=33038 has been removed from the spring seasonal anime 2016 today. Is that a mistake? Under premiered there is "?" The "Background" for Trigun needs to be re-worded quite a bit. First off, here's this outdated bit via the encyclopedia entry for the show on ANN. The intial region 1 version of Trigun released by Pioneer/Geneon (original Pioneer and Geneon Signature Series) did not include unique opening animations for each episode as did the Japanese release of the series. The first episode's opening animation was used for the entire series in the US domestic release, while normally, the opening animation highligted characters present in the particular episode that was playing. Geneon's latest release of Trigun (Limited Collector's Sets 1 & 2) has restored each unique opening animation to its original state. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=88(Why I said outdated is the Remix singles were the final release, and also they don't mention FUNimation) The show was originally released by Geneon Entertainment USA (back then they were known as Pioneer) and they slapped the English credits on the only clean opening the licensor provided them, hence why they used that on every episode. Their VHS tapes, original singles, the Geneon Signature Series singles, and first box set release (which just put all 8 singles into an artbox) used only the first opening on all the episodes. Geneon fixed that mistake when they re-released the show in two Limited Edition tins, and later when they put out the Remix singles (which re-used the discs from the tins). When FUNimation got the show, with the first release, they repeated Geneon's mistake of using only the first opening instead of just simply rolling the OP's as-is, and then rolling the translated credits later (basically what Sentai is known for with their releases, the black credits screen at the end of each episode). They fixed this mistake when they put out the Anime Classics release. Also, Victor Entertainment is who put out the DVD's (the DVD's didn't hit until 2004 it seems), VHS tapes, and laserdiscs for the series in Japan. Geneon Japan (back then known as Pioneer as it would be years before this happened (read the "about")) So simply, the Japanese release had unique openings for each episode while the initial Geneon and FUNimation releases didn't, but their final releases did. |

http://myanimelist.net/anime/6401/ef__A_Tale_of_Melodies_-_Prologue Remove genres: Drama, Mystery, Romance. Add genres: Music. It's essentially the ending of 12th Ep. without cast talking, which is already extended colored version of opening in itself, so simply it's a musical video clip, no story here whatsoever, just visuals and a song. And I don't even know should it be in the DB in the beginning - no new/unused animation present. It has even less than the original 12th Ep. ending because of no cast talk here. So it's just a promotional (musical) video. http://myanimelist.net/anime/10711/Plastic_Neesan Remove genres: Ecchi. There is only one caricature one-second pantsushot in comedic context. Add genres: School. |

I just started the series (I'm on ep. 5) and certainly I didn't expect explicit material. I mean, on first ep right off the bat, we see a person imagining "well endowed" women with actual full frontal nudity! Plus, they visit a "place where love is a matter of money" and a kid even did a motorboat on the chest of two women! Magi: Labyrinth PG Rating... >.< And on ep. 5 we "spoilers - I guess..." we see a "thing" bare chest and with piercing in the tips of her chest, and I'm like wtf am I watching... So unnecessary and explicit. And I was wondering, what's the rating for this, which I skipped, and oh man it was PG-13. No way in ... that's an anime with a PG-13 rating. At least M or M+. Same applies to Fairy Tail. It wasn't explicit, but the crazy amount of fanservice and "well endowed" women should make it PG-17+. I hope this minor issue will get fixed, since clearly the rating is out of place. Parent's or anyone who isn't interested in this material should get informed properly. |

Seems MAL may have incorrect start and end dates for Trigun and Daphne in the Brilliant Blue. When trying to figure out the broadcast time and date, I noticed it differed from what AniDB lists (as my usual process for this is to go to the MAL page, click on the AniDB link, then click on "Schedule" (or if it's not there, go directly to Syoboi and link it to AniDB if it's not just rebroadcasts) to figure out the broadcast day of the week and time). Trigun: AniDB says 4/2/1998-1/10/1998, MAL has it as 4/1/1998-9/30/1998 The only source I can find regarding its original broadcast is this below which AniDB has under "Resources". Syoboi is unfortunately listing only rebroadcasts, and Allcinema has nothing either. http://anison.info/data/program/1627.html If this is correct, then this also means all the episodes in the database have to be bumped down one day each. Daphne in the Brilliant Blue: AniDB says 1/17/2004-7/3/2004 while MAL has it down as 1/16/2004-7/3/2004 Only the end date is the same. According to Syoboi, here's what its original broadcast was. Seems what AniDB has is the correct start date based off this. http://cal.syoboi.jp/tid/300/time?Filter=13 |

Well, it's been almost a year since my earliest uncompleted/unreplied DB post so I've combed through them and fished out the ones that still need to be attended to. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?q=witch+village I don’t believe this is an anime. All dialogue has to be read from the speech bubbles just like motion comics, they don't even put the effort to have voice actors read it sans the mysterious narrator that speaks for a few seconds each ep. I know we came to the consensus this year that motion comics are allowed if they're the specials of a main real anime-anime such as http://myanimelist.net/anime/20557/11eyes_Picture_Drama but that they would be denied for new/outside anime that are only composed of that style of "animation" aka Hadi Girl and Tonari no Kashiwagi-san and that Isreal travel anime https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFT22S9euEI Witch Village Story literally has less stuff "animated" than an episode of Tonari no Kashiwagi-san. http://myanimelist.net/anime/2617/Ghiblies These should be split as one is a Special and the other is a Movie with a 2 year air difference between the two. The film is longer than the special and the film was a double feature with Neko no Ongaeshi. Why was this entry http://myanimelist.net/anime/14949 split to have this? http://myanimelist.net/anime/31551/Yurumates_3D_Plus:_Natsuyasumi_Maison_du_Wish_Report They were released on the same disc. The title of the episodes are different of course but the disc itself didn't have two separate whole titles printed on the cover so they should have remained as 1 OVA with 2 eps. http://myanimelist.net/anime/10028 Delete entry. I took a look into this and there are actually 10 unique omakes. But I agree with Fonzel's post, http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=30866&show=7032#msg36469323 We know for a fact these were at the end of eps at least for the DVD release since that's the only fansub release available. It would seem odd for it to be a DVD exclusive item (VHS at the time of their creation) though considering the age of this anime. Like Fonzel, I too could not find any Japanese source that says these things for the home-video release only. http://myanimelist.net/anime/32142/ More Info: The episode was originally released through Anime Bancho's official youtube page and was later included on the 4th DVD release of Peeping Life TV: Season 1??. Also link this anime to Peeping Life TV: Season 1?? as well because of this reason. And, a long time ago I submitted the anime relations of the characters peep tv used. But it was obviously denied. This is an official collaboration using copyrighted characters as the focus, what other purpose is the Character relation if not for this reason? http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=16552 Main title and Eng title: Hungry Best 5 what's there right now is Koreanglish. http://myanimelist.net/anime/22399/Saru_Kani_Gassen Should be deleted. This is episode 4 from the Nihon no Otogibanashi anime series. http://myanimelist.net/anime/7468/Princess_Lover_Picture_Drama http://myanimelist.net/anime/8231/Princess_Lover__Magical_Knight_Maria-chan Should be merged into a single entry with 12 eps because all things came out together on the same DVD/BDs. Similar to how the 3 types of Beelzebub specials were merged into a single entry: http://myanimelist.net/anime/10479/Beelzebub_Specials http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=31851 http://myanimelist.net/anime/31967/Dog_Days__Gravure_Talk Same as above, these should be merged b/c they were released on the same DVD. Type should be OVA, eps: 5, duration: 00:03:12 http://myanimelist.net/anime/32609/Sinbad__Soratobu_Hime_to_Himitsu_no_Shima_Pilot Please put back the original Action+Magic genres I gave it. This pilot is only an action chase scene on magic carpets in the city. There is no adventure in it. http://myanimelist.net/anime/6124/Toshishun Toshishun --> To Shishun okay so this anime is about a dude from an actual Chinese legend. 杜子春 is his name which is read as "Du Ziqun" in Chinese while in Japanese that kanji is read as "To Shishun". http://myanimelist.net/anime/32588/Meow_no_Hoshi Should be deleted due to Toei’s role inflation. See explanation here: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=30866&show=9600#msg44532487 http://myanimelist.net/anime/22459/Hello_Kitty_no_Shoukoujo -genre: fantasy +genre: drama, historical I asked for the franchise to have mecha removed but it was only removed from the film… Anywhoo, these still need that genre removed due to the lack of actual mechas. http://myanimelist.net/anime/15583/Date_A_Live http://myanimelist.net/anime/19163/Date_A_Live_II http://myanimelist.net/anime/17641/Date_A_Live__Date_to_Date The official BD cover of the 4th Tamayura movie has been released. Can all 4 movies now get their main pictures changed to their BD covers rather than movie flyers with a ton of text on them? http://myanimelist.net/anime/9865/Hetalia_Axis_Powers_Fan_Disc Should be 1 ep. As the description says, the first two are compilations of previously seen "bits". Not even a recap, they just put all the parts back to back. Like if Whose Line Is It Anyway released a DVD that only had all the Scenes from a Hat bits. Only the Ore-same Nikki ep is new so this entry should only reflect that. I wanted a note to be put somewhere that the episode is "おれさまにっき その2" (Ore-sama Nikki Sono 2) and for the English licensed release the episode was included on the Hetalia World Series DVD as episode 52. "おれさまにっき その1" (Ore-sama Nikki Sono 1) is part of episode 1 for Hetalia World Series. (In case someone gets confused why a fan disc had part 2 and where part 1 was located.) http://myanimelist.net/anime/7252/ Synonym should be the main title. +synonym: Grick no Bouken Glikko no Bouken http://myanimelist.net/anime/12759/ Main title: Zokuzoku Mura no Obake-tachi http://myanimelist.net/anime/32904 This should probably be split up. The original Boku wa Jumbo no Pilot entry before being merged into this entry said "Animated music video that was featured on Fuji TV's Hirake! Ponkikki program." That means it aired on TV. I assume these music vids are the same as the Minna no Uta franchise, children's music videos aired on a children's TV station first before being compiled to a VHS/DVD for parents to purchase. It seems unlikely that a Hirake! Ponkikki brand VHS/DVD came out first featuring songs which then later shown on television; it feels like a poor business model. http://myanimelist.net/anime/30514/Nisekoimonogatari This has no new footage in respect to either related anime. Entry should be deleted like the tens of others in the Denial there rejected for the same reason. _________________ There was a 4-volume DVD magazine called Grasshoppa!, it contained various anime similar to how Genius Party, Anime: Nihon Animator Mihonichi, The Animatrix, etc contained various anime by various directors. Grasshoppa! archived site since the live one is down: https://web.archive.org/web/20090814015622/http://www.grasshoppa.jp/lineup/index.html Grasshoppa! was released from Mar 2, 2002 to July 3, 2002 featured the following anime: http://myanimelist.net/anime/1072/Sweat_Punch (only episode 1-4. The 5th episode was released 4 years later on the “Deep Imagination” DVD which also featured the first 4 eps from the Grasshoppa! DVD releases) (regardless, the episode Junk Town should be a separate entry on its own titled Deep Imagination: Garakuta no Machi) http://myanimelist.net/anime/1980/Trava__Fist_Planet http://myanimelist.net/anime/3516/Hal___Bons (only episode 1-4. The 5th episode was released as a special on the compilation Hal & Bons DVD on October 2, 2002. So the 5th episode should get its own entry titled “Hal & Bons: Omake no Kai no Maki”) http://myanimelist.net/anime/18815/Oh_Super_Milk-chan_Special Since these series were released originally on the same DVD series, they should be merged into a single entry titled “Grasshoppa!” composed of 15 episodes as represented below 4 eps (Sweat Punch), 4 eps (Trava), 4 eps (Hal & Bons), 1 ep (Super Milk-chan) Grasshoppa! contained live-action episodes and as such would be excluded as per usual protocol. Perhaps for ease of modification the original Sweat Punch and Hal & Bons entries can be converted to focus on the separately released episode 5’s. While Trava and Super Milk-chan's entries would be the only ones merged to be the new Grasshoppa! entry. |

http://myanimelist.net/anime/25777/Shingeki_no_Kyojin_2nd_Season The 2017 date isn't from any kind of official source, it's from the social media account (Facebook, I think) of a Spanish company (a broadcasting company maybe). A few months ago there was an interview with Isayama and the anime director in a magazine and they said it's still gonna happen in 2016. Either change it back to 2016 or remove it. That said, 2016 is seeming less and less likely. However, I really don't think non-Japanese sources outside of North American licensors should be taken as official since nobody's actually directly involved in production. |

Fair, but I still don't think of it as a legit source and think we should wait for something more official. I'd be iffy (but less so) about FUNi posting the same kind of thing too. Like I said, it's not impossible, and they're probably right that it is 2017, but at the same time Japanese sources directly involved have recently said it's 2016 so who the fuck knows at this point lol. |

Raiyuza said: Are you referring to the latest episodes not yet being added in the database? This is actually something you can do manually (and it's something that really needs to be done more often, even new shows since MAL added the episode feature are having this problem). On the episodes tab, click "Add Episode" and follow the directions. Easy way to add episodes (well, how I do it at least, especially due to how I know next to no Japanese) is to go to AniDB, click on the episode in question (you need an account there to view the episode info), copy and paste the title fields (English, Romaji, Kanji) as well as the broadcast date, and then go to Crunchyroll, FUNimation, or Wikipedia and copy and paste the episode description, and then putting down "(Source: [Insert source here if you didn't write the description yourself])" at the very end. I can go and add the final episode for Durarara!!x2 Ketsu right now. Gintama, I might do that later (probably won't), there's like 29 episodes that need to entered in.duararara x3 and Gintama episodes aren't updated ---------------------------------------------------- Official site for Galaxy Angel Rune should be the following. http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/runeangel/ |

Nanaka 6/17 needs the Wikipedia link added. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nanaka_6/17 The broadcast date also needs to be changed to January 9th to March 27th based off the following below. https://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=473 http://www.allcinema.net/prog/show_c.php?num_c=240110 http://anison.info/data/program/5825.html Also this below still hasn't been done. BigOnAnime said: (Managed to have a typo towards the end of my original post where I mention Geneon Japan (fixed it in my quote), huh.)The "Background" for Trigun needs to be re-worded quite a bit. Also, Victor Entertainment is who put out the DVD's (the DVD's didn't hit until 2004 it seems), VHS tapes, and laserdiscs for the series in Japan, not Geneon Japan (back then known as Pioneer as it would be years before this happened (read the "about")). So simply, the Japanese release had unique openings for each episode while the initial Geneon and FUNimation releases didn't, but their final releases did. |

http://myanimelist.net/anime/31827/Comet_Lucifer__Garden_Indigo_no_Shasou_kara Since it's merged now, should it be an ONA or Special? 6 episodes were streamed on YouTube last year, but the new merged page shows dates for the DVD/Blu-ray 6. Would it not be better to leave this with 2 entries? |

Mika said: This should be changed to Special, just like the Umaru specials (which were all streamed) and the ReZero and Flying Witch specials when they conclude since the online streaming here is seen as a prescreening (at least from what was decided some time ago with the Umaru specials), this uses the dates for the BDs too.http://myanimelist.net/anime/31827/Comet_Lucifer__Garden_Indigo_no_Shasou_kara Since it's merged now, should it be an ONA or Special? 6 episodes were streamed on YouTube last year, but the new merged page shows dates for the DVD/Blu-ray 6. http://myanimelist.net/anime/5155/Genji_Monogatari_Sennenki http://myanimelist.net/anime/3488/Genji_Monogatari These are adaptations of the same source, and yet one of them has the "josei" tag, while the other one doesn't. Add this tag to the movie. http://myanimelist.net/anime/12581/Asa_made_Jugyou_Chu http://myanimelist.net/anime/343/Tsukuyomi__Moon_Phase These are based on seinen manga. Remove "shounen" tag, add "seinen". http://myanimelist.net/anime/1151 http://myanimelist.net/anime/1152/New_Dominion_Tank_Police These are based on a seinen manga as well (source). Remove "shounen" tag, add "seinen". http://myanimelist.net/anime/496/Kamui_no_Ken Remove "shounen", this is based on an actual novel, not on manga or LN. http://myanimelist.net/anime/31972 Remove "historical" tag, add "fantasy" instead. It is an adaptation of a classic fairy tale. It depicts animals playing in the forest. It does not focus on a historical setting, nor does it show any historical events. http://myanimelist.net/anime/1796/Dirty_Pair__The_Movie http://myanimelist.net/anime/424/Dirty_Pair Remove "ecchi" tag, because these are not ecchi. They have only a few of fanservice shots across the whole duration, which are not the main theme of the anime. http://myanimelist.net/anime/4200/Dirty_Pair_OVA This entry is missing the "police" tag, as main characters work for a police-like organization. http://myanimelist.net/anime/2133/Mari_Iyagi Add "slice of life" tag, because it depicts average daily life of the characters. http://myanimelist.net/anime/1312 http://myanimelist.net/anime/2811/Soratobu_Yuureisen Remove "shounen", these are original anime. http://myanimelist.net/anime/605/Tenshi_ni_Narumon Add the "drama" tag. Additionally, the current MAL synopsis for this anime contains massive spoilers. I suggest removing it, and using the AniDB synopsis instead. I have submitted this change, but it needs approval. |

@Erich_Domel Did the Dirty Pair entries & Mari Iyagi. Removed the Josei tag from Genji Monogatari, because it doesn't exactly qualify. Most of your other points are debatable. EDIT: Missed the anime originals. Fixed those as well. |

@Max Could you explain what exactly is debatable about the other points? Database moderators told me previously, that demographics tags are applied to anime based on the intended target audience of the source material. Is that correct? Do I need to provide sources for the manga magazines' target audience, even if the corresponding manga entries already have the correct demographics tags? As for the genre tags, the shows in question fit the official genre explanations. I will gladly provide additional proof, if you could tell me how exactly should I do that. |

http://myanimelist.net/anime/29853/Girls_und_Panzer_Heartful_Tank_Disc__Fushou_-_Akiyama_Yukari_no_Sensha_Kouza The 99.9% of the 2nd episode is live action, so change the episode count to 1 episode, and change the date to April 28, 2013, since it's the release date of the 1st episode. http://myanimelist.net/anime/32390 Accept this please, it's been in the queue for ages. |
