If I didn't know there is a second season, I'd be endlessly pissed right now... But alright, I suppose it'll all be explained. Glad to see Lelouch and C.C. getting the confidence I know they have in each other. Weee. Oh, and Suzaku is still annoying as hell. Let's revive Euphy and kill Suzaku.

I knew it!! If Lelouch had already killed Suzaku in the first place, this shit wouldn't have happened.

Like the guys above me said, I feel bad for the people who watched this back in 2006.

4.5/5 it was way too open as an ending :S needed more resolve LOL but good thing there's a season 2!

9/10 final but i doubt i'll rewatch this again knowing all of the plot twists

Likes: Plot twists, amazing strategies used, cool main characters, terrorism made awesome, intelligent plot and philosophy, twist on war, both sides have good points, mecha made watchable for someone like me, nice action and animation, wonderful pacing

Dislikes: Nina, random school episodes unnecessary, Euphemia, minor plot holes, cliffhangers, Nina, character design, too many characters

Trying my hardest not to start season 2.... I don't want to finish this anime so soon. The ending episodes of season 1 have made me sad; I wanted a happy ending. Nevertheless I love the anime and definitely find it worth a 10

Wow the ending was so good but fuck that has to be one of if not the biggest cliff hanger in the history of anime! Damn, thank God I can just watch season 2 right now or I'd go insane!

C.C. kissed Lelouch! That made my day :D

IMHO they should've ended the series right there. R2 got too inconsistent. Personally I don't think that that ending is actually a cliffhanger. If there wasn't a season 2 explaining what happened, I would've assumed that Lelouch died. Also the way it ended, Lelouch pays up for totally trampling on human dignity and betraying every single f''ing person he ever came across. Would've been a 9/10 ending for me. R2 end is like 1/10. Foreshadowing is good but they used a crapload of foreshadowing in R2 so the ending was totally predictable.

Not sure how I should feel about this.

I enjoyed this anime a lot more than I thought I would, but the lack of an ending really disappointed me, it was just cut in half, with everything left open. Not sure if I should bother with the second season. Some characters were horrible, especially Suzaku who is probably the worst kind of hypocrite and the biggest tool there is.

They should have made an ending that can stand on its own while also leading to a possible second season, then this anime could have been something very good. I still liked it though, but unfortunately it wasted some of its potential.

You can't really think of them as seasons, just kinda a break in the storyline.
Try watching R2, it's not quite as good as season 1, but it'll definitely give you that closing ending you're looking for.

I guess if I got this far and mostly liked it, then I might as well do that. It's just that the lack of conclusion took away most of my enthusiasm that built up during the anime, and left me with some bitter aftertaste.

I must say it was alright but hmm something feels like its missing.

Not really my tastes anyways but I'm willing to give it a 8/10.

Guess it will be time to watch R2 in a few days.

My first rewatch of this years after seeing it back when it originally aired.

- Lots of small plot holes, "plans", and victories lacking elaboration and explanation.

- Merely a decent/above average show until the "Euphy massacre" plot twist which incited some well done drama, feels, and made for a gripping watch.

So overall, a good watch with interesting drama and plot twists, but somewhat slow and sloppily done in places.

6-7/10.

I did not comment on previous episodes so I'll say everything here:
Hmm so it's not impossible to regain memory from Geass, then there is a possibility that Sherley (or what her name is xD) will regain her memory once again. Also that quite a weird ending, I would soooo annoyed if I would have watched this while airing xD.

Good season 9.4/10.

Spoilers for the episode in case someone didn't see it.

Great ending. But one thing I'm confused about. Why did Colin react the way she did when she found out Lelouch was Zero? Why does Zero being Lelouch all of the sudden mean he was just using Japan as a means to an end? I could maybe see why if she knew he was a Brittanian prince. But that's supposed to be a closely guarded secret and I don't remember her gaining that information. Anyone know why she felt so betrayed?

I do wish the ending wasn't so open, but other than that the last episode was pretty satisfying. Lots of drama, plot twists, Zero abandoning it all for Nunnally (which was his reason in the first place) showed that he's not all consumed by revenge or wanting to play God or anything like that. Like C.C. said in the end, he just wanted a bit of happiness with Nunnally :<

On to r2 I guess.. I can't see Lelouch really surviving in the next one if the ending is more definite and closed there, but if so I hope Suzaku goes as well. I really, really hate that guy. To quote Lulu loosely, 'I don't have time to argue which of us is the bigger hypocrite.' Suzaku frustrates me.

(rewatched)

I would have been content had everything ended right there (no season 2). Lelouch lost. Game over. Done. The end.

C.C.'s sacrifice... <3

(but yay! theres another season!)

Code Geass will remain with a score of 8/10 (very good).

Jeremiah didn't die. The fat scientist guy picked him up in the episode with the landslide. He wasn't just randomly brought back. Mao was "shot" but not killed as he explained quite clearly.

This show was one hell of a ride, first time I have enjoyed anything mecha related.

Loved the entire show, though the ending is one hell of a cliffhanger ending. Most of the main characters were likeable, especially LeLouch despite the way he is acting is definitely my favorite character from this show.

Good thing there is a season 2!

What do you mean?

"Twists don't have as much impact as DN "

Well, it IS a different series, so different things you know.

Likewise ASOIAF is good for you if you like twists.

You quoted me on a post from almost 8 years ago. I would point you out the twists I mean from code geass and death note that are the same, but I won't be re-watching both of them now so I can point it out to you. I remember that most of them were on the first episodes though.

I have no idea what is "ASOIAF", something tells me it's not anime or not a common abbreviation
