The average cost for Valentine's Day is over $512.

Source

2D does not cost anywhere near $512 unless you want it to but that's your decision and yours alone, but for the most part 2D means great savings that you can put into whatever you please like a PS4 or a low end PC for use in other functions besides games like music

People are seriously rich as hell. I have a Highend PC (GTX 980SLI) and a PS4 , how do people afford to spend 500 on 1 day. WTF . Also How do 2D dates work?

But once you run out of pre-written dialogue pathways with your main girl, then what?

2d can only last for so long.

Unless you plan to marry the person most people only end together for about 2 years.

Find a new one is the same for 2D and real life.

I'd probably spend that $512 on something else like food or books, which is more worthwhile.

The internet in general is creepy.

Is it depressing though? I find it pretty funny. You shouldn't take half of what you read on the internet seriously.

1.Put random cake, flower and present infront of your 2d shrine.

2.Take picture.

3.Done. repeat next year

At least that what i know what some other people did when celebrating their waifu birthday.
Nah, i dont think sharing anime ratings in signature is cool thing.

Here, stare at this pointless signature instead.

I don't know anyone whos spent that much on Valentines, you probably have a bunch of outliers thrown in there that are willing to spend that much money just to get laid.

2D is definitely more appealing and reliable than 3D but at some point the same frozen smile saying the same pre-programmed dialogue over and over or the lifeless comfort of a body pillow wont hit the spot anymore and you'll realize you've hit a new low.

This article is bullshit, it does a fine amount of cherry picking as to what Valentine's Day has to be in their eyes and that only the Top 1% celebrates it. It looks like it was written by a communist or a beta cuck who got dumped by a snobby rich bitch for being a deliberate poorfag.

Well that's the kind of holiday it is, the media often shames people who do cheap dates or shames people into not doing cheap dates on Valentines Day, so it has some merit, although I did chuckle at the communist comment.

You can always stay with the same 3D for years and watch her age , get fat and complain about inane shit you don't care about.

But it doesn't have to be, unless you're someone who lives and dies by that type of shit. I was honestly surprised reading that, all my Valentine's Day dates have been a nice dinner and renting a movie from our favorite video store which is surprisingly alive and kicking in the wake of fucking Netflix which cost like $100 max and we split it the whole time because it's not like one has to do all the paying like the richfags have to imply that only the fucking guy has to pay.

Man am I so glad I was raised the right way.

I'm too much of an individualistic loner to even bother with 2D love or 3D love.

To literally everyone else though , I wish you all the best in terms of happiness whether you love 2D or 3D.

Perhaps, assuming I'm still alive in the next 30 years. Legend has it that if someone survives their first 30 years alone, they'll become a wizard.

I'm already a wizard at 21 . Don't worry . If you choose to be one , you'll be fine. If you are one without a choice. Woe to you.

I've always wanted to have magical powers, so that sounds like a good deal to me! And yeah, it's honestly just a choice so I'm with ya on that, mate. Though the future is still a mystery so maybe that'll change :P

So then you go out and get laid. Worst case scenario you get HIV from a ripped condom or dropped because it was a one night stand. I'd rather have invested my hard earned time and money into 2D, it's both safer and more fun. In what other form of dating can you have multiple love interests and live to tell the tale?

Assuming expensive jewelry is a common gift for valentines day..

It's more about how much time you spend with the person rather than how much you spend on them, I think.

Lol happy valentines folks. I have no idea how anyone can justify such reckless spending on something likely very temporary. The only real love is self love.

...or you could just get a partner who acknowledges that Valentine's Day is a silly and superficial celebration of consumerism, rather than love. Or you could actually do something romantic that doesn't involve spending a shitload of money on generic crap. If you need to spend 500 bucks on your partner, then they're probably more interested in your wallet. I suspect that this article is talking about rich snobs anyway, and not your average couple.

You don't need a special day to give your SO gifts or to celebrate the love between you.

Yeah, so much for The Top 1%'s average Valentine's Day cost.

It is. Almost everyone I know who celebrates Valentine's Day doesn't even spend more than $200, I shared this article on FB and even other people were surprised.

If you live in rich high-class Corporateville I guess having that money is the average.
