So far, the manga has also jumped in rankings with the popularity and even though it's not as high as the anime, that just goes to show how well A-1 Pictures is adapting the material. If they do it right, they can make the adaption even better than the manga and I wouldn't be surprised if it grabbed a spot in the top 10 because of it. Depending on the ending, I can see it get a little higher too. I am talking peak points for the show by the way, like One Punch Man's peak was rank 10 but it has since dropped. I don't think it has a shot at rank 1 though unless the author pulls off some genius and glorious ending that just blows everyone away. |

| So far I am really enjoying this show and look forward to new episodes every week but I really dislike people that rate a show after seeing 1 or 2 episodes. The rating may not change much when all episodes have been released but it really bugs me when people give shows ratings after 1 or 2 episodes. |

If god forbid something really tragic happens to Kayo later on and he's forced to let her die or something for some time travel related reason then I could totally see it happening. Judging by this shows audiences reactions so far it doesn't seem like it's managed to hook the kind that takes a lot to completely blow away. I mean people claim this show has mind blowingly awesome animation quality and direction when I'd sooner just use the word competent. Nothing stands out as particularly well drawn or framed to me though. |

If the scenario you described occurred it would have nothing to do with "marketing prowess", rather it would become #1 for the same reason that the Kardashian's are popular: stupid people suck. I don't know getting Yuki Kajiura to do the music and Yuki Aoi to handle the female lead is pretty smart hype marketing if you ask me. |

| If someone had told me that a anime in winter [the season for mediocre anime] would be hype up so much that people would think that series could be #1 on mal. I would've look at that person as if he or she was crazy. I honestly thought after opm we would have gotten another hype up/high rating series in the spring season. I was not expecting anything hype wise to happen in the winter season. |
| At least it deserves a bit of hype. Sure it is a bit over exaggerated. You can't stop people's huge enthusiasm though. ;) Who gives such importance about ratings? It's a war or what? ;) |

| I don't think so, but it may make top ten. It's already at 8.87 and iirc, OPM was at 8.88 at a much later point. Also, look at the stats for FMA:B and for Boku Dake. 10s account for slightly more than 50% of all votes for FMA:B. Bokue Dake, while it has yet to be rated by more than two thirds of it's viewers, has about 31% (5651) 10s and 38% (6824) 9s. With 52,000 unrated, it's going to need about 38,000 of those giving it a 10, that's 73%. The numbers of viewers could change of course, but the fact still remains that the overwhelming majority of undecided viewers would need to rate it a 10, and I'd say that's highly unlikely. |

| There's this one show every season that people seem to be hyped with and then, after a while, they are like "oh, it was quite great, but it would never reach my top 10". So yeah, it might reach top 5, or even #1, but then it will start going down. Kinda like most series that get their hype when they air (look at Shingeki no Kyojin, look at SAO). Noone knows how it will turn out tho, but imo it won't have that great of an ending. |

| It won't Why ? well first it will be rushed they are trying to put 8 volumes "or more " in freaking 12 episode and taking how much detail the series has it just doesn't fit in 12 episode they are adapting perfectly right now "i think they will adapted the kayo arc perfectly and the later arcs will be rushed " so it won't keep this quality level Second : there a turning point in the series and believe me not all people will like how things goes after the kayo arc "i myself didn't like the direction the story did take after that point " So yeah it will drop soon or later |
