| Don't think I've ever watched an anime based off of an MMO. I love playing MMO's. But they're are addicting as hell, so I try to stay away from them haha Watching the anime though, shouldn't take nearly as much of my time :) Will definitely be checking this out! |

| A shame that no english-speaking company has yet to localize the game. Being an avid MMO gamer myself, not being able to have a taste of a game with such splendid combat display is irritating. Regarding the adaptation, i'm not really sure how it will really work out this time. Having watched the anime adaptations of Maple story and Ragnarok, which were jumbled mess of plot, left me utterly confused. Though it helped a bit with the fact that both game had already been localized in my country at the time, so i could forget the messy anime and just play the game. Next, i hope somebody in Japan will consider the possibility for Elsword |

Whatever, i'm really looking forward to the American release of, and i play on the Korean server right now and it's really interesting, so naturally i'll look forward to this anime. | Was there even ever any decent anime based on a game other than a few LN adaptions and parts of .hack franchise? I sure don't remember any. There's no reason to think it will be anything other than uwatachable rubbish. Well, good thing only story counts, not gameplay. Otherwise all these game based series would suck even more. The news is legit (judging from some looking around I did in Korean sites) and so is the site. and I cant really read the japanese text to see how it was translated but it seems that the OP here was more or less what the source site says. Source Site (GameFocus) said: NC Soft's popular MMORPG "Blade and Soul" is getting an adaptation in Japan as a TV anime. According to a representative from the Japanese anime industry who requested anonymity, the anime will be broadcast in April and more details such as its content and concepts will be announced mid-February. Blade and Soul is about to launch its Japanese service, and it's speculated that the broadcast of the anime will be closely connected with the Japanese launch of the game. It was confirmed that the Blade and Soul Animation will be produced by the famous Japanese animation producers, "Gonzo". Gonzo is an acclaimed studio that has produced "Hellsing","Ao no 6-gou", "Last Exile" and other works in the past and has also participated in producing the "Dungeon and Fighter" animation in 2009. So I'd say yes, it is right and I can vouch for it so no need to fret. |

| Somehow the promotional art for the anime looks terrible compared to the game, and the game is straight up just ass and titty fanservice with no other redeeming factor, so it's a bit disappointing to see it won't be as good in that regard in the show. There are much better studios fit for this type of game and the type of series this will end up being, but it may still be worth checking out, so I'll give it a chance some day. |

| dont care about the mmo anymore... how long NCSoft working on the translation etc ? 1.5 yrs?! When the game comes out noone cares anymore about a 3 years old mmo... when they can play TESO and EQN or other good mmo's... but the aime sounds nice... |
| Anyone know if Pohwaran will be appearing in the anime or will she be a no show. I would love to play the game but sadly it not in english and I always loved her artwork that I have seen. Plus can't go wrong with two different color for your hair. |
